You, nor anyone on here has ever given any argument whatsoever to how it is not.

The big problem here in the states is that the government is supposed to be OF the people and FOR the people. Citizens are starting to get pretty irritated with how the government these days seems to be an oppressive force that pits us against them. It's not all bad, but things are definitely moving the wrong direction. And a part of the problem is a massive federal government that operates from the ivory halls of DC. There's little connection between the rest of us and those men who ride to work every day in bullet proof black limos, making sweeping rulings, spending money like nobody's business, taking more of our money and STILL going into debt.

A smaller, local government would work much better. Something where the states have more authority and federal government is limited to a set of clearly defined duties. Sounds like something I've heard of before... a long time ago...

So yes, people tend to get pissy about taxes. I know I do. Especially when I see things like this:

As stated previously, I have NEVER cheated on taxes. It ain't worth it. Perhaps when my goals in life are complete, and my parents are gone, and kids are taken care of, I'll take a stand like Peter Schiff's father did. A true American hero. But at this time it's not the right battle for me.
