Has anyone else completely stopped using conditioner or after product? Not sure if it's damaging to my hair, but conditioner only made my hair oily after a day or so. didn't even improve it all that much.

It's pretty obvious when someone grows their hair out of laziness and when they do it out of style. Problem is that 90% of the people I see who grew out their hair did so out of laziness. Although that number prolly dwindling as long hair is coming back in style.

Long hair only looks decent if you have a full head of hair. If it's thin or receding, that's when you get the frazzled neckbeard brony look.

My hair is getting there. Currently fringe hair can pull down bellow bottom lip. Back of head looks like a huge mullet tho and tempted to trim the back up abit and wait for the top to catch up in length to grow together. Thoughts?

Mine is currently like this but I am afraid cutting the back will mess it up more. Just keep it messy back there and it wont too much like a mullet. Then again, I am from Texas so I can pull it off.

Was doing some thinking, I know that some employers give men a hard time about having long hair, couldn't you claim it's a requirement with your religion? Employers have to accommodate just about everything else.

I suggest using conditioner 2 times a week (3 max). I use tresemme and it does the job.
By the way guys, finally i bought argan oil.... **** is liquid gold. My naturally frizzy-dry hair looks fking perfect, can't be bothered right now to post pics but will do soon.

Some tips for the use of argan oil: - you need very little of it (i use 1.5-2 drops), rub it thoroughly in your fingers and comb your (damp) hair. I do not apply it on my scalp, since i've noticed it makes my hair greasier.

edit: for some reason it's turned my hair darker, it's naturally dark blond and now it looks brownish... don't mind though

I've had a completely shaved/buzzed head or a short crew cut my entire life (nearly 30 years) and have decided to grow my hair out.
So far I am about 5 months without a hair cut. My hair is alot darker now that it's getting longer. It's thick and wavy.

I'm curious, what products do you use to slick back hair? I'm using American Crew Forming Cream.
My ultimate goal is to have hair past my shoulders with a beard.

not bad dude, I personally would now trim the beard. I find as my hair is growing I can't really afford to keep my beard long, looks too messy and hipsterish. Long hair + shorter trimmed neat beard = win

I had my back trimmed a couple times while growing out the hair. You get a much cleaner look without the mullet. Also, I didn't try to gel back my hair, I just kinda parted it to each side so it wasn't covering my eyes.
