Hey guys, looking for some advice regarding probiotics. I've altered my training recently and it has greatly increased my appetite. After eating more food to compensate I started having stomach problems (something I've been susceptible to in the past). Fiber always seems to help with these problems so I started eating more of it and I'm also considering buying NOW's Psyllium Husk since it seems like an insanely inexpensive/convenient way to get more fiber.
What I need help with is probiotics - which also seems intended to resolve the issues I'm having. There's so much varying info on them I thought I'd seek help beyond the search function. Which products keep the probiotics "alive" so that they are actually used by your body? Are there any bargain probiotics that accomplish this besides the high end ones (Gut Health, Primal Defense)? Are probiotics even needed with a well balanced diet, or are there simple ways to add them to your diet through food sources?
Any help is appreciate. Thanks!

Not all probiotics, Primal Defense does not need refrigeration as it contains soil-based probiotics.
OP, try upping fiber first to see if it helps matters. I highly recommend the following fiber:
Beyond RAW Fiber by Garden of Life
Not because I'm a big proponent of raw foods, but the formula for that product is phenomenal. Healthy fats, big dose of a pretty good strain of probiotics, 9 grams of fiber, and it even has 7 grams of protein. Very good ingredients (chia seeds, legumes, etc.).Completed Logs & Reviews:

I've used Gut Health in the past and thought it really got the job done.

it's proven to be shelf, heat and stomach-acid stable - meaning it's actual life probiotics you are ingesting --- the biggest complaint of Myofusion Probiotic is that it gives you gas, people think that it's because of low quality protein, but it's actually because of the Ganaden BC30 colonizinng in your intestines, and a byproduct of that colonization is gas production
The dose is 500Milion CFU per serving, and that's low compared to most probiotics on the market (5-8 BILLION is normal) but they need to overdose to compensate for low conversion rate... that issue doesn't exist with Ganaden BC30, it's a really amazing product, and included at no cost in myofusion Probiotic series

SAN makes a probiotic that you might want to check out, not a lot of people know about it but it's a great formula.
