I drink Whey protein shake first thing in the morning, and post work out. A couple hours later from my first shake, I eat breakfast (1/2 cup of oats). I eat clean all day, cardio, and hit the weights hard, I'm having trouble losing the last remaining lbs of fat around my mid section. Think it's necessary to be drinking a protein shake plus breakfast in the morning?

If 1/2 cup of oats IS your breakfast, I think a scoop of whey and oats is the perfect breakfast. If you have another protein source for breakfast in addition to your oats you can cut out your whey as longs as you are hitting your macros.
