im in... 261.2 lb
In one at work also but those guise not taking it seriously. Almost guaranteed $100 at job so want some good reps here.
Have been trying to get fit for 15 years probably. Former 350lb+. BB.com nut forum knowledge only 2 years though, before that fad diets + back-n-forth progress.
This latest effort since new years with setbacks, down 20lb. My problem is 1 weekend of drinking and have to make up for it whole next week so hopefully will cut that out completely for next 2-3 months. Going to be be building a gazebo in same time frame so this will help distract from weekend outings and add activity. I know excuses-excuses-excuses.
I work a 9-5 desk job so my activity level is very low overall. My best weight was mid 240s some 1-2 years ago. Haven't been thin since 12-13yo so all this "trying" for the past 10+ years leaves me dis-everything. I start off good/motivated then just make excuses that keep me from getting to thin. Latest one was "go on a minor/slow bulk to speed-up metabolism". which sort of helped because at least now i have some muscle in my legs which were previously neglected badly so looked like flabby chit but i am still back to cutting at 2k like before and i thought i would be able to raise that to make things "easier". Only positive is that it is getting easier each time I try + leanness is increasing but very slightly.
Diet shooting for ATM
Calories 2k-1,900 with some cheating ~500 on weekends when i am more active with chores. I strictly weigh most food. eyeball what i have to but limit this.
typical day (today) -
180p 70f 150c
2 X chicken breasts cooked on george forman grill + thin pita bread with mozzarella cheese melted with hot sauce
when i get home from work chicken thigh in soup with broccoli + lentils.
-- cheat is cookies / chips... i tried to make beer/going out my cheat but then the alcohol on an empty stomach + hangover the next day break my will power entirely.
Workout At least plan so far... typical/recent lifts in lb X 5 reps not necessarily 5 sets as i pyramid up first 1-2 sets of the 5 depending on energy/feel.
5x5 strong lifts 3xWeek. (but since i pyramid/wormup the 1st 1-2 this might more accurately be 3x5 Starting Strength? ;-) ?)
No cardio other then very minor move around + push-up + crunch + stretch routine in front of tv at home occasionally or a walk at lunchtime ~30 min.
--Bench 95lb dumbels on incline or 245 flat with barbell.
--Squat 245lb back squat -- sometimes throw in 225lb front squat
--Deadlift - 365lb x 2 sets (got 405lbsX5repsX1set once some 3 months ago but since cutting + just got weaker and that was a good energy day)
--standing OHP - 135lb
--pull-ups - 70 or 50lb assist
-- bent over rows - 155lb (depends on form + strictness i can do more but that is what i go with)
will take before pics tomorrow + Friday so water/lighting dont come into play... post to this thread only with after photos next to them.
i am sure this will get me motivated.
thanks guise.
Goal
July 31 -- 230lb
10/1/15 (31st birthday) - 220lb
+ maintain lifts.... since they are good for someone at my ending weight and average for someone @ my current weight as far as i know.Last edited by iamarcin; 04-15-2014 at 09:42 AM.

Same here, put on 60 lbs in a little over 2 years!
I'm in, let's get it started. Will PM you my weight Friday. It's 264 by the way. Touched 300 lbs at the end of July last year so I'm doing pretty good so far. Shoulder surgery in November slowed it up, I'm back in the gym again.Sig line can't be a novel

I'm another first post -- I'm in. I dropped 57 pounds in 2013, but have been stalled for 3 months because of <insert lame excuses here>. I've been reading the BB forums for a couple of weeks and am happy to be back on track at the gym. I'm 6'3, ~265, I'll do weigh-in on Friday.
I've been doing the Allpro beginner's workout from here for a couple of weeks, but it's really not clicking for me. Not sure why -- my muscles feel it after each workout, but I don't feel the drive I am used to feeling with regular gym work. Going to stick with it for a couple more weeks to give it a chance.
Sitting down today with the mountain of info from Emma-Leigh to map out a better food plan.

Awesome, welcome! Welcome to the forum to you too chef. This place will change your life if you let it. Great way to start out on the boards too, these comps are great motivation.
FYI - The stickies have every bit of information you could ever want to learn, for the most part. Read up, good stuff in, good stuff out. We can do this! My goal is to drop 30-40 lbs during this competition. I'm also in a competition at work with $$ involved so I'm double pumped with 2 motivational support systems in place.Last edited by NeverTilt; 04-16-2014 at 09:47 AM.

Good luck to you all. I would join but I just passed the 250 mark a few weeks ago. I will be rooting you guys on. I just finished the Dynamatize transformation challenge and lost over 30lbs in the 12 weeks. I also joined it after I had been losing some weight for a few months. I started at 310 in November. Focus on the process and the results will come.

Really excited to see more new folks jumping on board. I haven't been on these forums very long and I look forward to seeing all of our results. This is my first challenge too. If anyone wants to send me a friend request and be official 250+ weight loss challenge accountability partners, hit me up! Would be cool to make some friends on here. See you at the finish line.

Lots of oldies and newbies up in here! It seems like most of you are guys, but one of my favorite things to do every morning is to read/look at the Daily Motivation at The Berry .com (can't post link cause of post count). It is girl oriented but there are a lot of motivational quotes and healthy recipes in that section. Check it out if you can.
