Boot report.
These: Were not worth $26.50.
I wore them outside for a bit playing with my daughter last week and was not impressed, not terrible, but not good. That was mostly standing around in the driveway.
Today I wore them for some yard work.

2.5/5 stars
And I'm being generous.
I think I'm going to drop them off at Goodwill soon, with the pile of clothes that no longer fit. Hopefully they'll fit somebody else's foot better.

Sounds like BS.
That comes out to 365,000 rounds a year on the rifle alone.
Top ranking competitive shooters like Jerry Miculek may shoot up to 50,000 rounds per year, usually less and they're the best in the world.
Also, not saying the guy you met wasn't in special forces... But generally speaking, take anything anyone says about being in the special forces with a grain of salt unless they provide legitimate proof. I can't tell you how many people I've met in the firearms community who claimed to be in the Marines, Navy Seals, Rangers, etc. only to make complete fools of themselves out on the range aka they were frauding.

Need help picking out a weapon. I have 1,300 to spend of either a Daniel Defense or an Arsenal Sam7(not the game changer). The difficult part is the ammo price, I see that 5.56 is almost double the cost of a 7.62. Which should I choose?

spend less on the rifle and more on the ammo.

$829 for this Saiga conversion

Or this God tier Vepr

It's 100% just as good as any Arsenal. Spend the rest on mags and ammo.
Your decision should come down to what you need the rifle for.

Poverty reps for cliffs on crock pot chicken recipes. Need to make some meals for the week. Last time all i did was 5 breasts, beans, corn, and a big can of no name salsa.

Rejection is part of life and if you go around avoiding it, then you aren't going to realize everything this universe has to offer. The quick, sharp pain of rejection you feel is a very momentary fleeting feeling that will disappear. The pain of "what if", however, can last a life time

A parts kit build for ~ $700 that has arguably the least ergonomic wire stock of any AK every built... Eh, no thanks Jeff.

The PAP series is the best you can get in the $500 - $600 price bracket. If you can still find an OPAP, good. You'll probably only find the NPAP at this point and that's good too.

Unless it's a preban, all current production Maadis are parts kits builds. Don't get me wrong, there are good parts kits builds out there but there are also a lot of bad ones. It's best not to take a $700 gamble when you can buy a factory built PAP for even less or a factory built Saiga conversion for slightly more.

Busy day . . . added to and re-arranged some shelving in the garage to make better use of space. Still a bunch to do but I got an additional three good sized shelves out of it. Also got the sprinkler system about 95% up and running. I told myself I was NOT going to work on them this weekend because it invariably turns into a bigger project than you want. Mostly with the dripline part where the heads get broken over winter or come loose. Wife was planting flowers and so I thought I better bite the bullet.
The dripline was its usual cluster fuark . . . but I think I got that all squared away (enough to where it will work fine for now but needs some "tuning"). Most of the zones were A-OK, except for one zone. Pressure was bad--looks like I have a full-sized head that may have cracked down low. I'll have to wait for it to dry a bit and dig it out to recon. Hopefully it's just a new fitting and/or head and not something worse like the line.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

There seems to be an infinite number of ways to do it.
The most simple I have found that works well (chicken will not dry out this way) is chicken breasts + chicken broth + one packet of powdered italian seasoning mix (they come in three packs in the dressing aisle at my grocery store).
Cheap, stupid simple, won't ruin the chicken.
It won't add much flavor though. That requires more ingredients
