I know this topic has been covered, but I just had a more specific question.
As a powerlifter, squatting in oly shoes has been a godsend for me. I currently use Wei Rui warriors but am looking to upgrade. Many people have recommended the adipowers over the romaleos for some structural things (strap length etc) and suggested they are more flexible. Is flexibility a good thing for merely doing front and back squats, not oly lifting? Which would you prefer for squats alone?
Further, the width issue concerns me. At my widest point (just below big toe) my foot width is slightly shy of 4.5 inches. This is wider than the average "D" width shoe, so I'm thinking the Adipower may be too narrow. Can anyone chime in on the issue of width please? I think it would depend on when the shoe begins to narrow.
Any help is appreciated.

I own both shoes and heres my opinion
Adipowers are better for oly lifts cause i feel its more flexible. Adipowers only have 1 strap.
Romaleos are better for powerlifting ( back and front squats) because it's more stable. It feels like a phucking tank compared to the adipowers. Romaleos has 2 straps.
I used the adipower twice and both times, i lost lbs off my back squat and i wasn't hitting regular depth.

I was planning on buying Wei Rui Warriors, what do you think makes the Romaleoss / Adipowers superior? What makes you want to replace them?

I've never worn romaleos but I do have a pair of adipowers. I have extraordinarily wide feet so I usually wind up wearing a shoe that's too long just to accommodate the width of my foot and this proved to be true to some extent with the adipowers. Adidas shoe sizing is always a little longer and thinner than other shoe brands in my experience. Once they're broken in they're a great shoe though, I love wearing them for squats and cleans.

If you want wide get Adidas power perfect.(I think there called)
Go for Nikes. I have worn both and there far better. I personally hate adi powers. Old Adidas shoes with wood heel>nike>adiapowerssub to my youtube for more videos of me lifting heavy things : www.youtube.com/user/civilizedmurderer
