Wanted to see some long term numbers, I turn 26 next month and I remember my 1st meet was a few days after my 21st birthday.
So in 5 years ago at the time of my first meet at 148. was way under from what I remember
315ish squat
275 bench which I bombed
385
total = 0, 975 if you count the bombed bench
to a peak of
476 - 160lbs gain
314 - 40lbs gain
551 - 170lbs gain
total = 1341 - 370lb gain
while gaining about 15lbs of body mass

Just everything in my lower body basically (prior to lifting I didn't do ANYTHING physical). Just getting to parallel for squat caused my hamstring to cramp up horribly so I stopped squatting for a long time and just focused on stretching and deadlifting once every couple of weeks. I think the deadlifts helped to stretch my hamstrings a little and conditioned them enough to where I could squat with some weight. Also foam rolling helped a lot! Felt like crying the first time I tried it, but after a couple of months my entire lower body felt extremely flexible compared to when I started.

My hamstrings are extremely tight/stiff
For example i cant stretch my leg out straight it only goes out to a certain degree
Also never did any sports when i was younger and i have hyper lordosis and kyphosis (yeah i know im ****ed)
Any advice? Can i do it without the foam roller?
@OP sorry for ruining thread brahenjoys nature crew.

Started a year and a few months ago. Haven't done a meet (doing one in June).
Started out with about
135x5 squat
95x5 bench
135x5 deadlift
Last time I tested
385 squat
265 bench
405 deadlift
I am really excited to hit the 5, and 10 year marks, and have made some real substantial gains by then.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

A foam roller will help a little bit in terms of getting the rest of your leg/hip area to release tension, but for hamstrings, I've found just regular stretching works best. I started with working toward touching my toes every night after I got out of a hot shower. It kind of hurts a little at first, but just rolling around on the ground and moving the legs around into different positions really helped me. Oother than that, I also did very light dimel deadlifts with my toes elevated on a plate for reps just focusing on feeling the hamstrings stretch and contract. PM me if you have any other questions so we don't completely hijack OPs thread lol!

Between illness, surgeries/procedures, and life, I am back to my PR's of a few years ago. Hoping to stay consistent and finally surpass them. Never would have guessed it would be nursing school that allowed me to be consistent again.

Were u training properly during that time coz my squat is higher than yours and deadlift and bench are close and I've been training bodybuilding for less than a year and I'm only 180lbs at 5 foot 11. I'm just tryna say that If u were training consistently and properly for 5-6 yrs u should be lifting much more. Anywayz gj. If or progressing that's all that matters!

I started lifting exactly one year ago (give or take a week). When I first started I deadlifted 225 for a couple of reps, squatted 185 for a few reps and benched 135 for a few reps at a BW of around 240-250.
Recently I've benched 225x9, squatted 335x10 and deadlifted 455x7. Although I realized that I was basically doing good mornings with my squats recently and have been building back up from 295 with proper form and actually felt doms on my glutes and hamstrings for the first time in months.Started losing weight in 2010 at 300 lbs
Started lifting April 2013
5'7" 171 lbs
Progress / Goal:
B.S. Computer Science & Engineering in May 2018 / Graduate with my B.S.
14% BF / 10% BF
Deadlift 495 lbs / 585 lbs
Front Squat 275 lbs / 315 lbs
Pull ups (bar to chest) 12 / 20
Weighted Dips +70 / +90
Mile Run 7:30 min / 6:00 min

Cool thread. Well, I have to say...I returned to lifting approximately two years ago. I say returned because my college athletic career ended in 2009 and I quit all sorts of physical training, unfortunately. Came back to lifting in May of 2012. I'll list my previous PRs and what I've done in the last two years.
Squat: 440x3----->605x1
Bench: 295-------->350
Deadlift:455------->560
