You guys aware of any app or site that I can filter beers by predominate hop type? I’m looking for something with a ton of Simcoe for Thanksgiving holiday

Ratebeer's tags are pretty damn accurate. It should be able to narrow it down for you a lot better than just searching blind. You can usually just google the brewers site for the hop bills. Most will be a blend of varieties, but it's a good starting point. It filters by rating, so you can just look for the high review #s for some options to look out for finding.

It's not diacetyl. It's just so much hop flavor that it tastes like popcorn. I did have a diacetyl run-in before this pos tonight and some Sunday night, but this doesn't taste like diacetyl.

so I'm pretty unedgimukated on belgians. Aside from the americanized ones/styles I've only had the roch 8, 9, 10 and a few randos (chimay, petrus)

What I'm really wondering/noticing is there are a FUKCTON of belgian Xmas ales so which ones are awesome?
From what I've come across Dubbels are my least fav, I like Quads, tripels meh, and sour variations/browns are nice
I'd asume I'd like strongs

Anyway any must try Xmas belgians before they're gone? I'm hoping by next xmas I'll be a belgian pro and know wassup I just haven't dedicated my drinking time to running the belgian gauntlet

IPA = all year. Stouts = winter. Troegs made Blizzard of Hops winter IPA recently. For supposedly having a 'blizzard' of hops in it, I sure can't taste much. More like a light dusting of hops.

hmm maybe it's cuz I like the tropical notes n tart sh!t which doesn't equate to winter. I agree on the stouts though. Like I fuarking love saisons but it just seems too cold out to drink those right now. oh well fukc it

i was so eff'n close to mailing you out a growler of barley brown's sour IPA so it was waiting when you got back. wasnt sure of the dates though.
