The american version was trash but the belgian version was better. I guess if you like tripels and quads then you'll probably like it, but its price and availability is a turn off.

Really damn close to tasting like JK Viking Metal, but theres no lacto. It was a bit of a gusher. Lemon, pear, apple, juniper, clove, pepper, hay, straw, grass, herbal, wood smoke, wheat, bread. Good amount of musty brett funk in there too. Very crisp and well balanced.


A really good session IPA. Lots of bright grapefruit/citrus/grassy hops. Flavor wasnt as bold as I wanted but it wasnt watery. $10 8 pack cans, I will buy them again for sure.


This was pretty awesome, but it didnt blow me away. 2013A bottle. big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak, raisin, prune. Plenty of barrel presence with good balance. A bit of spicy alcohol on the finish.

I reviewed it in Feb when it was 1 year old. I thought it was excellent. Really well balanced flavors between the juniper and lacto yeast and gin barrels. There wasnt that much smoke that I could tell, the yeast was probably covering it up, or it faded. Moderate tartness was nice. Fairly acidic finish.

You can order Modern Times from K&L wines and theyll transfer it to one of their stores for you to pick up for free. They also ship, but if youre close enough, its a great option to have.

I think cans are $2.50/ea? IMO for $10 a 4/pk, they are phenomenal beers.

Good. I was hoping it would have more potential as the smoke mellowed out. Fresh pours were a touch harsh with smoke overshadowing the other flavors.

Victory Dirtwolf--I picked up a 4-pack of this a couple weeks ago. This is not bad at all, but is kinda light for a DIPA. I've never seen this before in WA, but I've heard this year's isn't that good compared to other years. I enjoyed this and will purchase again. Victory is hit or miss for me.

We have Prima Pils, but everyone I've seen has a "Enjoy By" date back in January and February of 2014
I really wanna do a taste test between Prima Pils and Firestone Walker's Privo Pils.
