Hello guys my weight is 96,9kg, 180cm and im trying to cut, i have made a diet of exactly 2244 calories i calculated my tdee on IIFYM with 27% body fat and it gave me that my tdee is 2610 and i must eat 2200~ so deficit is 300, everything its ok but im worried about macros. I cant do exactly the same as IIFYM shows. From my diet macros are carbs 220, protein 144, fat 85. But IIFYM says i should eat 250 carbs, 155 protein, and 60 Fat. So would macros make big diffrence in fat lose? Or should i try to make my diet exactly as IIFYM shows? Btw im doing icf 3x5 routine.

Weight loss, no. Fat loss, yes.
Eat less = Weight loss
Eat less and hit your macros = Mostly fat loss
Eat less, hit macros, lift heavy weight = Almost exclusively fat lostSept 1 '12 : 215 ( Cardio Only, Poor Diet )

Weight loss is based on calories not macros, if you eat your 2244 calories worth of cheese burgers, or 2244 calories worth of brocolli and tofu your weight loss will be the same.
Macros are important for body composition as well as general health and well being. Protein and fats are the essential macro so make sure you get them right, carbs are non essential.

Exactly what the above comments said.
But if you're going to do it just calculate macros to make it easier in the future. Once you cut you'll want to increase muscle size no doubt therefore cutting without following your macros, it'll all be really pointless and you'll just end up skinny fat (likely)
Think about it, would you put bad fuel in your car? No, so don't do it to your body! Give your body what it needs, stay healthy and maintain muscle mass.
Good luck with it

Wow, there has definitely been some knowledge dropped in this thread. Awesome advice from everybody. I'm currently right in the middle of my cut and I've lost 25 lbs so far. The only macro's I've been paying attention to is protein and fats. I calculated my necessary grams of protein and fats and then filled in the gaps with carbs. But I'm very strict on not having carbs in the evening. This has been working great for me.

If you want to just lose weight eat whatever macros you like. If you want to lose FAT and preserve muscle, you need to hit your protein goals. Eating enough fat (plus o3/o6) is for joint health, libido, hormonal balance and overall health. Rest of your calories what you have left after hitting your protein and fat goals should be filled with carbs. You're not a inuit or a caveman, eat like a normal human being.
