I've used optimum nutrition for years ad well as recommended by my gym.
lately though I've been seeing a lot of bad press on the forums. 'It's garbage " i won't touch ON" etc etc. No one ever says what's wrong with them?
Requardless I'll switch brands if warranted but i won't mix match needs to be good and have a complete line.

Controlled Labs hands down....
"The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds." - Henry Rollins

With the exception of proteins and Hemavol, I've only been using controlled Labs and Universal products. Both are great brands. I don't really see why you'd limit yourself to one brand though, there are plenty of reputable brands out there.

Nutritional ketosis requires explicit reduction of CHO intake to generally lower than 50 g/d and, for some, <30 g/d. Protein must also be restricted, often to <1.8 g/d per kg body mass and sometimes to < 1.2 g/d per kg, with remaining calories composed from fat.

It's not that theres anything wrong with ON. Lots of members here think other brands create more quality products, so ON doesn't get much hype on the forums. I tend to agree with that thought as I don't have a problem with any of the products ON offers(except the bad tasting protein I refuse to ever try again). I do use there creatine caps. I don't use other products of theirs because of better alternatives.
Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

There are some companies I always seem to support and with good reasons.
Universal should be on everyone's radar.
Muscletech product line, pricing and non-prop blends is AWESOME
Cellucor has "stormed the industry" lol. But seriously, solid product line, great protons
Controlled Labs makes some of the best products on the market. Orange Triad as an example is imo the leader in multis
Iforce makes some AWESOME products and are priced awesome too
These are the companies I seem to check for everytime I place an order. I check on monday mornings for sales of their products and they are all amazingly supportive of their customer base.

Universal, SAN, Controlled Labs, iForce, Cellucor in no particular order. Fan of them all, and I'm probably forgetting a couple companies. No reason to just pick one

ON is fine. It's pretty cheap and has little fat and sugar as fillers. People are just ignorant sometimes. Honestly, there isn't really going to be any difference in effectiveness between brands when it comes to stuff like creatine, fish oil, or protein (as long as it's complete and in bio available forms). Only big differences are cost, taste, and additives. ON scores well on all three

Universal and cellucor usually have solid products .
ProMera sports is good form what I've heard and I love their con-cret creatine .
I'd advise staying away from all USP labs until they get their stuff together ..
Pharma ?(I can't recall right now ) the company who makes Pharmafreak is decent .
Controlled labs .
Honestly I've liked precision engineered supplements you can find at vitamin world stores , they're reasonably priced and solid , nothing to brag about but you get your money's worth and they're far from garbage ..
Musclepharm (UFC endorses it and Arnold product line just recently released by them) are decent .
