I've been miscing for a couple and its the exact same threads with the exact same misc is dead threads

Started lurking in 2010, I used to laugh really hard IRL at some of those threads. Nowadays I see a really funny thread like once a month at most.

i started miscing back around 04. it was pretty good back then, but i was a lot younger too. i post in OR and bike thread. but this is the first time ive been in misc in years. pretty steady downhill decline. nothing like it used to be

-brb "pm for noods" wasnt looked down on

All that killed the misc. Everyone wanting to be epic, everyone wanting to be someone, everyone constantly pushing it to the max. It didn't leave anything to the desire. Before Avatars and Bodyspace everything was jabs here and there, no harm. Then Miscers start showing up at other people's home, people literally dying, that's not cool. That's nothing more than shock factor.

Back in the era after I joined ('09 after checking) early 2011 got really ****ty as far as mod power was concerned. I got banned over a rule I didn't even know existed and quit. If anything that period of mod powertripping was a bit of a slump.

Weird that this is the first thread I see after not sighning in for months.

the misc was something else entirely when It had the porn subforum and I think a celltech subforum as well (or maybe that was in the ifbb section I don't remember). The misc went downhill when people started wondering if this or that was alpha or when malodrax uploaded pics from his "doll"

This year has been terrible. Getting annoyed with all these feminism, FA, homosexual threads that get rehashed every hour. Not enough interesting/funny people in the misc anymore that was present in other years like malodrax or yaboydave.

Honestly, it's hard to pinpoint. I think maybe it's always sucked, yet I'm still here. Maybe it was whenever miscers started constantly whining about how "sloots gonna sloot." Seems like it was a gradual decline. The same topics just get beat to death all the time, and there are way fewer funny threads than there used to be.

Also betajohn "8/10 no pics" threads aren't helping.

It started to decline when the whole meme trend really took off. I started to notice this in about 2002 and by about 2006 the Misc was unrecognisable to the one I first saw.

There was a time when you would always get serious replies to posts. That to me is the main reason for the decline now, posting memes and stupid lines in response to peoples posts.

On the bright side though, Misc still has its great moments and still offers something for everyone.
