Maybe its the angle but it looks like a slider (3 feet off the plate slider)

ya nats tightened it up a bit. But his fastball around then throwing once a week was 98 mph so out of his hand that ball is coming at your head

I mean I know injuries are raping us but this is 2013 Nationals all over again. This year we're actually destroying the bad teams but we continue to get obliterated by the Cardinals, Braves, and I'm sure most competitive teams will continue dismantling us until we get the team back.

Everyone only remembers Zim being out but Ramos is undoubtedly more important than he is.. Ramos gives us another consistent power bat in the lineup and one of the better catchers in baseball. Fister, the big get for us this offseason, is out for another 20-30 days. With him out, the rotation takes a huuuge hit. Frankly with Zim's inability to throw to first he's probably the least important injury for us.

..and FWIW, I don't believe it, but Carl Pavano did an interview and said he isn't surprised that Strasburg is getting rocked so hard to start the year. He said, in addition to himself having the surgery, he has spoken with other pitchers and they all agree when you have bone chips removed it takes a while to get all the strength back and may take some time before Strasburg settles in and gets that consistent 97'ish velo back. Again, I'm not sure I buy that story because Stras has always been inconsistent, but it's worth noting.

Feel bad for Red Sox, that ball was OBVIOUSLY foul. There's no doubt about it. Mark on the field showed it hit to the left of the LF foul line, replay from straight on showed the same thing... even the Orioles announcers thought it was foul. What the heck are the guys in NY looking at?

Also since when do managers give DH's days off? Ortiz thinks he's underpaid and gets days off as a DH?
