I came in 5 minutes prior to the time my shift started.
Was written up because I didn't arrive 10 minutes prior, when my boss asked why "I was running a bit slow this morning" I informed him that there was a death in the family.
His response "Yeah well, wait until you have kids and they don't contact you for 7 years, then come and talk to me"
O_O
what do?
I typically show up at 0530 every day.
After his statement he said "I need you to show up 10 til every day, We're very shorthanded and we need you here"
u fukn wot.
**update**
Cut my balls shaving,
10/10 would do again.
So much better than signing that write up

I dunno man, OPs recall sounds pretty fukked to me. You should have to go to a work environment every day where some dickhead superior who's frustrated by life grinds you for something that seems reasonable. Not to mention the kids comment his boss made shows massive levels of angst and his own stress impacting his workers. **** employer/10.

I know, **** still goes in my file regardless.
It's more of a principal thing.
I used to enjoy working here, my previous supervisor was a good guy, new guy comes in and starts changing all kinds of policies and my entire shift apart from me and one other were like "LOL later bro heres my 2 weeks"
Then he doesn't understand why everyone is quitting on him >_< you can't expect employee's to respect you if you're a kunt regardless of whether you served in the coast guard for 10 years or not.Sig line can't be a novel
