What's the rule on these. Ive been told that when you take a preworkout u need to switch it up every month cause ur body will get used to the supp prework. Is this true. Also looking for the best pre workout supplements and any tips. Thanks

This. Some people can feel burned out from stims after awhile and need to take a break. There are some great stim-free options you can try during that time.
With stims: SAN Fierce Domination, CL White Flood Reborn
Without stims: iForce Hemavol, MAN Body Octane
There are also some great single ingredient add-ons that can go well in any stack. Agmatine, Nitrates, etc.

Only need to switch it up if the effects wear off and you aren't getting the benefits of the PWO in the recommended dosage. I haven't been off stims in almost a year, so you don't need to cycle off stims if you don't need.
I do have Hemavol on hand in case I decide to take some time off stims and still want the pump.Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

You need to cycle on and off stims (typically 8-12 weeks of use followed by 3-4 weeks off)
For a newbie i would suggset a lower end stim
Neon Volt and Scivaton Psycho are around 100mg per scoop
and cellucor c4 has around 135mg per scoop
If you want to venture into a higher stim
Core Fury ~ 200mg
Presurge and White Flood Reborn ~ 225mg per scoop
These are 6 great pre-workouts that are very popular on the board.

A stim break is referring to not consuming any pre workouts that contain stimulants. Caffeine is the most common stimulant in many pre workouts. The advice given above has been pretty solid. If you find yourself using more than the necessary recommended dosage it could be the fact that your body is getting used to the amount of stimulants. When that occurs taking a stim break from all pre workouts, soda, tea, coffee would be a good choice. This will vary per person though. There are some individuals who take 2-3 weeks off of stims every 6-8 weeks, while some don't need to cycle off.
