I'm ready to buy an automatic burr grinder and have narrowed it down to the Baratza Encore or Baratza Virtuoso. Which would you choose?

Damn, sorry I missed this. I'd choose the Encore for most purposes.

I blew a batch of my current Ethiopia, a natural process fruit bomb, just sailed right past my target temp by a mile. I didn't want to waste it, so I took some home for the weekend espresso. It was great, now I'm drinking it as drip, pretty damn good. My lighter roast is way fruitier, but this is still damn nice. I love beans that are god any way you roast em....

Found a local market nearby that sells fresh roasted beans for 4.99/lb. There's an industrial Bunn grinder there for your use as well. Sure as **** beats the local coffee shops selling their **** for $11-12 a bag.

$4.99/lb? Either they're taking a loss, or buying horrible beans. My coffee costs more than that, green, my cost before roasting, because I'm buying the best damn beans on the planet.

I bought some of this from Death Wish



and I wasnt impressed at all. Taste wise its no better than cheap stuff at the store and lol @ strongest coffee ever I didnt feel chit off it. This is drinking it black too. I noticed the serving suggestion was ridiculously high (2 1/2tbs per 6 oz) no wonder people say it gives you such a kick. Ill stick to my maxwell house

I really enjoy this stuff... mind you, I buy whole beans and grind them before using the French press... and I do prefer the original Death Wish Coffee more... I'm a daily drinker of it until something better comes along...

It's a bunch of bull**** and asprey is stupid. Nrwsflash: butter is simply churned cream, except it doesn't taste as good or play nice with hot beverages.

Decided to get a French press when I came across several at a thrift store. I picked the bodum since it was newish. It has been a month and I'll never go back to drip or keuring crap. I never liked using the coffee maker or keuring because it always ends up stale tasting even after you run vinegar through it.

Best coffee I have ever had no matter what brand the beans are. French press for life now.

I would say medium. Looks similar to sea salt maybe a little larger. Pretty much what I use for everything I brew. I did loosen it a bit since I started brewing this coffee to experiment a little.
