For any non Ausbrahs who aren't aware of Australian political parties, I'll explain this quickly first.

We have the Coalition, widely referred to as the "Liberal Party" or the "Liberal National Party (LNP)". The word liberal here may cause confusion considering it's widely used to refer to left leaning parties, however this isn't the case. The LNP is center - right wing.

Tony Abbott is the leader of the LNP and also our Prime Minister. For those already aware inb4 DUH IDIOT! For those unaware, you're welcome.





Back to the point of this thread.

The Abbott Government has promised to amend the Racial Discrimination Act by repealing section 18C, which makes it unlawful for someone to publicly "offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate" a person or a group of people.

We're finally making the U-turn from a pansified POS country where people are too afraid to speak without some PC activist shoving minority justice down their throat.

Soon it will no longer be against the law to "Hurt somebodies feelings". Tony Abbott wants Australians to take responsibility for their own behavior instead of using government parenting to control and regulate this type of behavior, which I think is a step in the right direction.

What do you guys think? Any of you share my views?

He hasn't scrapped the NBN, it's still underway as we speak.

He has simply reformed the plan to lay fibre to every house in the country and instead lay to the node. I think the ALP were being a little over zealous with our treasury and the LNP are doing what they're good at, budgeting.

For those unaware, this was sparked after a journalist (Andrew Bolt), was convicted under s 18C after saying he didn't think these aboriginals where actually aboriginal.
They got offended and he was charged.
