Why should a bodybuilder tip when they are often times spending more money at the place than other people. They make a bigger profit from you (dat 9 Oz steak!) and yet they still expect a tip. Maintain integrity? That's just the restaurant owners jacking up your cost of eating out by forcing you to pay their employees along with paying for the food and service. If you went to wal-mart and they expected you to pay the cashier 7.25 an hour you'd think it was bullchit.

no, they make the same minimum wage as anywhere else. Fact: if a server's tips do not add up to at least min wage then the employer is required by law to make up the difference. Tipping system makes no sense. I would be willing to pay slightly more for my food if it means the employer will pay their servers an actual wage from the start. I bet servers would be making less than they are now though, since they would actually be making what the job is worth (slightly above min wage, if at all).

Are you serious??? You think it takes zero skills to be a server/bartender? Have you EVER done it? Don't you realize, that if tipping were abolished, and if restaurants had to pay their servers a living wage, people like you wouldn't be able to afford to go out to eat? The prices of the food and drinks would SKYROCKET because the restaurant would have to make money in order to pay their tipped employees a living wage.
