Why should a bodybuilder tip when they are often times spending more money at the place than other people. They make a bigger profit from you (dat 9 Oz steak!) and yet they still expect a tip. Lunatics. If anyone in the UK mentions tipping they normally would get bert stared. It would have to be the delivery boys birthday or some chit.

In the UK it goes like this:
Waiter: "Where's my tip?"
Customer: "Is it your birthday or something?"
Waiter [thinking]: 'No but I can spit in your food'
If you go to the same place every week for months and always tip, but the waiters there just serve you the same as always, stop fuking tipping them, you're not getting an improved service.Last edited by Manc33; 03-22-2014 at 12:34 PM.

Maintain integrity? That's just the restaurant owners jacking up your cost of eating out by forcing you to pay their employees along with paying for the food and service. If you went to wal-mart and they expected you to pay the cashier 7.25 an hour you'd think it was bullchit.
If they don't like getting paid 2.50 an hour they should improve their skills and find a job that pays more.

no, they make the same minimum wage as anywhere else. Fact: if a server's tips do not add up to at least min wage then the employer is required by law to make up the difference. Tipping system makes no sense. I would be willing to pay slightly more for my food if it means the employer will pay their servers an actual wage from the start. I bet servers would be making less than they are now though, since they would actually be making what the job is worth (slightly above min wage, if at all).

Are you serious??? You think it takes zero skills to be a server/bartender? Have you EVER done it? Don't you realize, that if tipping were abolished, and if restaurants had to pay their servers a living wage, people like you wouldn't be able to afford to go out to eat? The prices of the food and drinks would SKYROCKET because the restaurant would have to make money in order to pay their tipped employees a living wage. Also, I can GUARANTEE I make way more money than you in a 4 or 5 hour shift. How many hours do you work? 8? 10? I can't believe you waste your time with a page like this. What a life you must haveGod grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.
