Anyone got a good suggestion for slim-ish dark indigo jeans that aren't selvedge? I've found some at BR/JCrew that are close, but no cigar.

Just picked up some 7 slimmy jeans from Nordstrom rack for like $60. I think these might be the same or very similar. Dark wash with dark stitching.

They have elastic in the denim so they're forgiving to big ol' booties and thunder thighs.D/SQ/B = 405/335/270 = 1010#

ffs. Compiling and editing a paper tonight for a team assignment has pissed me off so much. A certain member's section is completely terrible. And this person will eventually earn the same grades as the rest of us for virtually no contribution, when she has no reason to be here in the first place. I cannot stand these situations.

Yeah I definitely know what you mean. In undergrad that was totally my mindset, but here there is a pretty big team component to every class we take so it is unavoidable that we delegate work, then end up re-delegating hers and doing it over. It really comes down to what admissions person deemed she was fit to enter a graduate program. The footnotes in her section of the paper for example, you would guess they would take some sort of numerical order right?
Here are the first few footnotes she had:

Dear diary...
I'm with you brah, I hated when that happened but I look at it this way, school is a controlled environment which allows for this to happen, in the real world, you are responsible for you, regardless if you work in teams. My job is team based but I have certain things that I am responsible for. If someone slacks, they are the weakest link and they are replaced, permantly. Just be the strong link and you'll make it brah** New Jersey Crew 732 **

**** them
most times you can honestly point it out to the prof, and i've only had/seen it work in your favor. if you've had to edit theirs immensely and their section will bring the grade down; tell him you busted your ass for your section, and simply did not have time in your busy schedule to make up for your group member's failure to contribute (or something along those lines).

The wonders of eBay! I got this all for $99 including shipping:
Dark brown sperry penny loafers, like new: $40 (+$10 shipping) (probably overpaid a bit, but I'm digging penny loafers and I wanted a dark brown pair to match my new belt)
PRL university stripe OCBD, excellent condition: $22 shipped
PRL white OCBD, excellent condition: $27 shipped
Sperries were listed as "excellent condition." The soles have zero wear. The only way I can tell they aren't brand new is some slight creasing across the top. They look like someone walked around the house in them for a day.
University stripe oxford arrived looking brand new.
White oxford had very slight yellow sweat stains around the collar and arm pits. One hot water / powdered oxyclean soak later, and I can't tell any difference from the white PRL oxford I picked up new at a Macy's sale a few weeks ago.
So long as you don't mind buying something in slightly used condition, eBay is a great source for nice brands that have consistent fits. Even if I was made of money, I'd still be looking for good finds on eBay.Alpha Beard Crew | S&P | Misc Lawyer Crew | Fishing Crew

No worries brah. Sure, your degrees and GPAs might end up the same, and your professor might not notice, but her future employer sure as chit will, and likewise, your future employer will notice your hard work. Things change when money is on the table. The cream rises to the top.

Anyone have Docksides in blue? I'm looking at a pair on Amazon, and the color looks very different (much brighter) in the thumbnail in my cart vs. the actual picture. And the description just says "blue", which seems contrary to what every other source shows for Docksides. The laces are even different in the actual vs. thumbnail.
Actual photo (which I would assume would be the realistic one):

I'm not mirin navy boat shoes, even though they seem to have gotten pretty popular the last couple years. Just my opinion. I will also say I'm probably a few years older (at least) than most of the misc including S&P, and my style leans more trad than prep, though I like and own some of the louder, preppier stuff.
Misc S&P loafer crew checking in. Will wear penny loafers and set myself apart just a little from all the brahs and their boat shoes this summer. IMO boat shoes are a bit overplayed. Of course I still love boat shoes and will still rock my well worn sperries plenty this summer. Might even buy some new ones once I get a few pairs of loafers.Alpha Beard Crew | S&P | Misc Lawyer Crew | Fishing Crew

These seem like they would fit the bill for me (squat legs/arse) but Cot damn....$200? Are they that good....do they ever go on sale? I need some contrast stitching or something though. Dark wash and dark stitching looks like chit IMO.
^^ THIS. Go talk to your prof. I wouldn't put up with the chit at Uni. Explicitly informed the Prof of the issue, gave detailed breakdowns of what I did, each person did, and what the slacker did (or did not do is a better way of putting it) and asked if he could take this into concern when grading. 9/10 the Prof would fairly reward you for the work you did. While it may seem a bit like rating out...it's your future and I'd be damned if I'd let some leach F with my GPA.
