I've had my other trainer call him Trainer A for a while about 6 months after my first one.
I like workouts trainer A gives me ..
He took long to get back to me for another session this week I'd tried twice last Monday and Friday got no response until yesterday. I'd booked a different trainer Trainer B for this week as the other hadn't got back to me yet I wasn't sure if he would.
After seeing Trainer B he seems very good and more technical focused on the correct form (not that my other one doesn't) this one just does it more and a more strength I used o other machines my other trainer doesn't use with me. He already knew my previous plan was from Trainer A I just told him what I'd be doing an he fixed up a plan which seemed very good just different from Trainer A. His ones are more HIIT an the other seemed more strength conditioning. I feel like I learned a lot from Trainer B thinking it might not be a bad idea to switch between the two an it helps me become more knowledgeable and as they both have their different strengths.
Would it be okay to do this? or would personal trainer be offended if their client was training with another PT sometimes?

Can you workout with more than one personal trainer?

PT A might be offended. Only one way to find out.
But yes, you can train with both of them. Or one. Or the other. I know a trainer who runs a team of trainers, and actively splits up his clients with his other trainers if it's suitable. In my studio, each trainer has their own specialisations, and if one of the other trainers is more suited to a specific need for our client, then it might become 1 session a week with me and another session each week with the other trainer. In our situation, we're generally happy to do this, because everyone wins.
In your situation, that may or may not be the case. Whatever happens, be really open and clear with your communication and intentions.
Are you having to book each session with PT A separately? Or do you have a regular schedule and you've been trying to set up a second session each week with him? Have you asked him about the extra training in person? It seems strange (and unprofessional) to me that he wouldn't be willing and able to arrange something with you on the spot by consulting his timetable, or at least get back to you within 24 hours.SQ 172.5kg. while there is no law that says you cant, I'd probably be insulted if I found out you were seeing another trainer while using my services. Obviously you are paying for the service so you can do whatever you want but it is somewhat of an insult.
In addition, both trainers may have different training methods to reach your current goal. While they both may be valid, they may conflict with each other which will result in less results.

I usually book with each separately an it's a pay per hour situation so there is no contract. Generally I'd try and see the trainer every 3-4 weeks although I hadn't seen this one since christmas because after I'd sprained my ankle sometime in january so in february when I got back I wanted to do the workout I'd be given and I did that for a while. Just when I tried to book him last week I sent a email Monday I got no reply so I sent a text on friday for this week to see if he had any sessions he didn't reply until Wednesday this week. I sorta assumed maybe he's too busy or wasn't bothered about training me thats when I booked the other trainer on Sunday as the other hadn't gotten back to me and I wasn't sure if he would. I'd seen him around loads to but he was with clients .I don't know both seem good or maybe leave the other one for if my trainer was busy or something I don't know.
Just the other trainer seemed very good an the way he was really technical on the form posture.
I booked a session with the usual one since he got back to me yesterday an I didn't know if I should cancel an say I booked someone else an since I wasn't sure how that trainer was I thought it was best to book him and I needed a new program.Last edited by mizzcasual; 03-20-2014 at 04:26 PM.

Do I bring up the last plan I got from this new trainer today? when I see him next?
And maybe just say I couldn't get in touch with him that week etc ended up booking him an say what he did.
I don't know I do think possibly the new trainer was a bit more attentive with everything.
I don't know whats the best to do an I don't want to offend anyone.

I'm seeing him on Tuesday , I'll tell him the program the other trainer laid out for me and see what kinda plan he thinks I should do or if he wants to do that plan. I just get on well with both and don't want to offend the trainer.
I'd like to do the sometimes train with the current trainer and the other one sometimes for other plans if I'm stuck on the right posture form.
Both are friends anyway so I don't know , I'm young both are in a similarish age range to me .
Would it be okay to say that? or if I saw I've learned a lot from him and new trainer?
I'd maybe try switching between the two like every 2 weeks one my current more for the HIIT/weight stuff and the other strength conditioning.Last edited by mizzcasual; 03-21-2014 at 01:34 PM.

I'm going to speak to my trainer on Tuesday an say that.
Also there's another reason why I was saying the new trainer for the strength because I'm weaker on one side an he sorta knew what to do and out of all the trainers I've had that one session he helped a lot with that I'm already noticing improvements.

I'm going to say something along the lines of this
"I was training with (Trainer B) the other day , I'd already booked him when I didn't hear back from you for while I wasn't sure if you had any sessions this week so I just got him to do me up a plan and I let him know I was working with you , an tell him the plan he made up.
Then suggest here that I might get him to help me with the strength since I'm weak on one side an he was able to help an then say I still want to train with him for the hiit an what we usual do I don't want to switch like work with you both in different areas."
Does that sound okay trying to explain it in the best way possible?
