I'm not gonna lie, really didn;t like that episode, it just wasn't very good. Everything was just so straight forward and predictable.

I liked it brah. You can't have crazy twists every episode....sometimes things just need to go as you'd expect.
The only thing I didn't understand was the whole saving the Reaper thing. They go into detox when they get out of the mountain men's hideout because they don't have access to the drugs anymore and then die. So how are there reapers running around the woods etc.?There is but one path....we kill them all.

I think everyone knew that Lincoln wasn't going to die, so at no point in that scene was there any tension. They're utilising the wrong characters as well imho, Bellamy barely says a few words an episode, Raven is nowhere to be seen, yet we get plenty of this mother/daughter combo who are annoying as hell. Love how they all just dismissed Jaha there like he didn't sacrifice himself to get them on the ground. Hate Clarke and her mom, srs, think they're smarter than everyone and are willing to risk everyone lives because "she believes in her daughter", do me a favour,
They need more exploration and more interesting adversaries, the grounders aren;t interesting, and the female led society makes no sense. There's no-one compelling on that side. I just feel like they're not building on what made the show really good towards the end of last season by focusing on the wrong characters and story arcs.
I'm unsure, I think it has something to do with eating people though. Or, the mountainmen control the reapers by providing them with the drug?1977

Enjoyed that episode a lot more.
Glad they didn't bottle it with Finn, if the self-righteous mother/daughter duo managed to save the day again I would have been pissed.
Really needs to start utilising the ensemble more now though, mainly Bellamy/Kane/Raven. I think Bellamy is the most interesting character but he's barely been involved this season.1977

I agree about focus. We need less of Clarke and Abby and more of the original 100. I really liked the way it showed Bellamy and Kane as trying to make hard choices while overall being good people but we aren't seeing any of that this season. It started to look like Clarke would toughen up and start making the hard choices until her mum turned up.
So glad fin didn't get out of it, one thing the show does well is the way characters are killed- they aren't invulnerable but they don't die too often either.
I think the deal with reapers is that they hung around the mt weather tunnels and were regularly redosed with drugs which made them crazy cannibals. The times they left the tunnels were exceptions, usually they were close enough to be drugged again.

Yep. Kane and Bellamy are the most compelling characters on the show, yet we've been stuck with female leaders everywhere so far this season and they tend to be annoying, jimmies get rustled.
Yeah that's what I'm going for as well.
Promo for the next episode. Really wish some of the group would split off (good characters such as Bellamy/Raven) so we'd get more exploration (there must be so many other groups of people, in the intro there's even a small city) and more balanced character development.
The shows viewership rating has been going up nearly every week this season so hopefully it gets renewed for S3 soon.1977

Shows losing me.
Despite having an awesome second half of S1 by utilising the entire cast, the show might as well have been renamed The 100 talents of Clarke for this season. Chits ridiculous.
Shows taking this girl power crap to a whole new level, every leader is female, and 2 of them a teenager at that, in a situation in real life where the strong would rule.
Bellamy gets like 2/3 lines an episode. Kane barely that. Shame.1977

Well the latest episode was much better and similar to kind of what we had in the second half of season 1. Some good suspense.
Shame about everyone waiting on Clarke telling them how to chit etc as they're incapable of doing anything themselves this season, some characters have forgotten they have brains. As soon as they and the writers remember that I think the show will be right back on track.1977

BRB Looks like televisual cheese.
BRB Not one criminal appears to be less than a 8/10
BRB Rips off numerous plots
I will still give it a chance that being said.
Edit: Just read the female empowerment schtick is used heavily. Might not give it a chance.Last edited by Foxbox; 02-05-2015 at 03:46 PM.
Some of us aren't going to make it.

Takes 3/4 episodes to get going but it's pretty addictive after that. It's not cheesy, it's actually pretty gritty for a CW show, but it's the kind Ox a show that can become a guilty pleasure.
Show does love the females a bit too much in S2 but the last two episodes have been more like season 1 and the shows been renewed for S3 so I'd say give it a try.1977

It´s true, there are way too many female leaders. Just look at the grounders: Anya, Lexa, Indra and Luna, all leaders so far were females. Like a society based on strenght would accept a female as a leader..... lmao
Apart from that i like the show. The character development is great, there are many plot twists and the background story is also cool.

didnt see this thread, defintiley in. love this show.
binged watched all of S1 during a break or something, even got my roommate hooked on it. All caught up now, its basically the only show I watch on tv.
If anyone wants another post-apocalyptic type show, check out Revolution. Not as Sci Fi but still pretty good, only has 2 seasons though (42ish episodes) :/.
And if anyone knows any others, i'd be happy to hear suggestions.

Personally, Bellamy, Raven and Kane are my favourites in that order.
That's the hilarious thing about it. And two episodes back I think the leader of the grounders mentioned how someone labelled "The Ice Queen" killed someone she loved, pretty much paving the way for another future female leader. I'm all about equality but only if it makes fukin sense in the context. Makes it hard to take seriously.
Some characters have had good development and I like that the show is gritty and violence. Post-apocalyptic shows without it in a setting like this would be off putting.
Revolution was alright, should have been so much better though, I was absolutely buzzing for it when it first was announced thinking it might replace Lost somewhat but season 1 was distinctly average, a great premise not utilised well enough for me.
See the trailer I posted above, also has the guy from Revolution in it.1977
