Weazel bulk. lol
Also, yes. I was loling so hard at the fact that he quoted every, single, solitary post in that thread and responded to it. Amazing. The Misc needed some life and he injected it.
Also slowly realizing that Cap doesn't forget anything and reads much more than I previously thought.

I agree I bulked at a rate of 51 pounds in 16 months when I started lifting at 16 and went from a 95 pound bench at 109 to 215 at 160 from age 16 - 17. (So I gained 120 pounds on my bench in 16 months). But I got stretch marks pretty bad on my chest. My friends mom swore I was on steroids that how big I got. But you have to remember I only worked my legs because of my disability so it was mostly all upper body mass.Last edited by stingray72; 05-13-2014 at 05:16 PM.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Germ-a-phob! LOL!
I'm one of the few guys who doesn't use a paper towel to open the bathroom door on my way out.
But i'm not nearly as hard core as the guy brushing his teeth 6ft from the occupied stalls.
goddamn!
how can you do that when there are airborn chit molecules in the air?

Nice pics, Caprica! It was the biggest stall, so I couldn't see any feet. I never knock.
If we ever meet in person, I'm not shaking your hand.
Have you ever heard of the poopie rules? I do think sometimes about putting sticky notes in the stalls that say, "Two words: Courtesy Flush."Last edited by barbrox; 05-13-2014 at 11:24 AM.

They shouldnt be, its not lack of callused skin either, they should lightly graze the bar but not grating cheese with it. If you have to cut a two liter bottle in half vertically and rubber band the casing to your shin but nothing thicker than that. The bar can be not contacting your shins and you are fine, its just keeping the bar directly under the shoulder blades that is the goal, and since the bar cant be inside your body since your legs are in the way, contacting is the safest way to pull.

It's not grating per say, It my slightly graze coming up, but that's all i need for it to peel skin back. I don't feel it at all, But I guess it's enough weight on the bar where the knurls have a field day with my skin. the damage area is less than 1 cm long, but my legs bleed like an action movie. The peroxide causes more discomfort than the actual breaking of skin.
And Barb, I was wearing track pants. Thicker than the socks i believe.

Didn't know he was filipino until today.
I've observed enough people with inadequate hand-washing skills to never touch a restroom door handle again. If I have to touch it, I'll use my pinky. I bet CSB could list a bunch the nasty buggers to be found on door handles.

While I tend to do the same thing (like open doors and flush toilets with feet), I have read more than one article claiming that things like workplace desks and keyboards typically house more bacteria than public bathroom doorknobs and toilet seats. IIRC mostly due to cleaning frequency. And most routine bacteria that would make you sick require a pretty good dose.
I've never personally swabbed typical dirty places for bacteria isolation/ID, but in various labs we'd perform routine environmental monitoring that included swabbing doors/floors/walls/clothing/air and monitoring/IDing the resulting cultures, but it wasn't really my schtick. Freshly cleaned places (with disinfectant) were IMO surprisingly clean, like maybe getting zero to a couple colonies on an agar plate, and anything touched by bare skin surprisingly dirty.
On a related topic I have been members at four different gyms and the disgustingness of the smell of the bathroom area is directly proportional to amount of suspected steron use. I could barely even walk into one Gold's that was Monster Central cause I'd literally start gagging. I remember guys would go into the stalls with their bag-o-supplements and come out drinking protein shakes. That's hardcore.
IRT hand washing, some bathrooms are so gross that I don't wash my hands after peeing, cause I figure my wang is cleaner than the faucet handles.

Lol! I believe what you say about the desks and keyboards though. I used to work with a lot of desktop support techs to troubleshoot software problems, and we'd go to users desks. Ugh, some keyboards were just nasty. All crusty, sticky, and every crevice filled with crumbs and what-not. The techs would get sick all the time from catching bugs from people's desks, keyboards, and mice.
What's your title? Do you call your yourself a biologist or a virologist? You have a pretty interesting job.

05-13-2014, 03:59 PM #2939
I call myself a biologist, but generally I am more into the virology side of things. Job title is "Scientist". The job is about as interesting as doing taxes 90% of the time, because it's more mountains of tedious triple- or quadruple- or quintuple-plus reviewed paperwork than anything. 9% of the time it is interesting, but only in the sense of the Chinese "May You Live In Interesting Times" curse because something ain't going as it's supposed to. I'd say 1% of the time it's interesting in the pleasant, stimulating sense.
I really should have been born into tremendous wealth or with some exceptional, marketable talent. I could get into being a substance-abusing rock star, but I have no musical ability.

Really? That's a bummer. You're making project management sound exciting in comparison. lol You don't get to travel to do research or do field work?
No more cartoons? I was watching Final Destination 2 the other week and was gonna suggest you re-create the crash scene. The motorcycle rider even had a Shoei helmet.
Sure. Did you see my comment in your bodyspace? The 40% is a typo right?Last edited by barbrox; 05-13-2014 at 04:50 PM.
