That drink actually looks interdasting. Not a fan of sweet alcohol, but I would try.
Same! Am infatuated with him
Definitely Jordan...he makes the whole team look good
Check out this paw!
He's only 11 weeks old and they're hyoooge. My hands are def not small btw, I can palm a basketball. Perhaps it's the malamute in him? His dad was taller than me when standing on his back legs. For those of you that don't know what a malamute is:
Can't wait to see how big he end ups.
Oh, and he just passed out by the fireplace...

Read in ACT certification textbook that foam rolling should always follow some kind of warm up and static stretching....relief from doms and flexibility of muscles increased greatly.
I now warm up with dynamic stretching, do static stretches of the muscle groups I'm working, do main workout, then cooldown with static stretches followed by foam rolling....can't believe something so simple could make such a massive difference. Foam rolling without the static stretching wasn't nearly as beneficial.
Tempted to see how foam rolling before and after workouts feels

I always do my foam rolling before warm up and stretching/mobility work if it's a rest day. Gives a better idea of the sore areas so I can give them more focus as soreness tend to go away if warmed up.
No idea if it's bad or good, but the mobility workouts I've seen always start with foam rolling. My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

Ya know, it seemed like it was just five short years ago when lifters didn't feel the need to complain about muscle soreness and fractured elbows, because we felt that kind of stuff was an integral part of lifting. "You got to pay to play," they once said.
Now you got all these dorks whining about their inflamed Teres major when real men would have said, "That was a hell of a back workout!"
Arnold once said, "If you talk about any muscle more esoteric than the serratus, you are a knob. If you say you are going to foam-roll your iliocostalis lumborum and supinator longus, then you are probably a knob-gobbler. Or, at the very least, a girly-man."
I am beginning to think that Irish people are tougher than Vikings and Urbanites. Sure, we aren't likely to get called a fake-natty by serp, but at least we don't have the waaaahmbulance on speed-dial.Way more Xtreme Fitbitter than MissLadyJ or kureransu

Wasn't going to share, but might as well for the shiz and giggles. (And maybe it'll lighten up the mood in here.) I tried testing my deadlifts yesterday. Last time I tested, I could do 130, but that's all the weight I had at the time. I have more now, so I loaded up my bar with all the plates I could fit onto it which totaled to 226 lbs. Checked my form. Nope, didn't even budge. I kept trying:
186 - Fail - Still couldn't move it.
166 - Fail - Got it up maybe a couple inches and bailed; was kinda dizzy once I stood up.
Last try - back to 136 - x3 LOL!
Maybe I'll try again tonight.
Anyway, lots of respect to you guys and gals that can DL big numbers.

There are normal size guys in these forums who probably can't DL 225, so I wouldn't worry about it.
If the mood-lightening was referring to my post in response to MLJ's, I was just trying to continue with the planet of the apes theme. I wasn't bent out of shape - her attack was a quality, journeyman-grade insult. My follow up maybe not as good, but I will get her next time.Way more Xtreme Fitbitter than MissLadyJ or kureransu

So my job had no internet or I played soccer, A little league of legends and had my first run at....
you guessed it! the stovetop smoker! Right now my place smells like hickory... so on to the results..
Here she is in all her majesty:
And here is all the wood chips you need to smoke. I did 1.5 tablespoons, they say 1-2 is recommended:
I couldn't decide, so I went with 1lb of beef and 3lbs of chicken breast. Didn't go crazy on seasoning wanted to see how much flavor this thing actually could add to the meat:
And here is the finished product. It was a tad over cooked, But it was still super tender! I forgot to set the timer when it hit cooking temp for a few min:
SO i had a burger and a half of breast. I would say for chicken that is thick, go with 2 tablespoons. It had the flavor and was good, but the burgers man... It tasted like it came right off the grill! hence the burger and a half lol.
I will be using this weekly. No doubt. I used hickory chips this time, but it also came with apple as well. Will try that next.
Going to bed now, just wanted to update you guys with my thoughts of the smoker.
Ah yes. So the cook time was about 25-35 min. But it takes about 30 min to warm up so you're looking at an hour, which isn't bad for smoking. I also did a dry smoke, maybe next time i'll do apple juice, or even beer (even though i don't drink it lol)Last edited by kureransu; 07-28-2014 at 09:50 PM.
