Suffered what could be my first semi serious setback today. First play of the game; I am engaged with one of their offensive linemen when another of their linemen gets pancaked and falls right into the side of my leg. Haven't been to a doc yet but I suspect a strained or partially torn MCL. Still have full use of my leg but it only seems to be getting worse, I'm hoping its not too serious.

You wouldn't be able to walk with a torn mcl/acl iirc. I saw two teammates first hand suffer those injuries. Similar style, people falling on them.

That's why I suspect just a strain or partial tear. Walking is difficult and the joint is very weak. I'll spend this week doing light rehab and see how things go.

This site is annoying. with the same page randomly popping up, and the constant fake "logged out" status it puts you in when you are the main forum page. The latter drives me insane because it doesn't update what threads you have read, so now you have to check each time stamp to see if there was a new post, since they all show as new when you're not logged in.

I'm off to go lift.

Generally, it's not great. Long waiting times for everything usually, because it's a free service there's a lot of time wasters. I went to the Minor Injuries Unit at my local hospital, only had ~1hr wait which is good. Confirmed what I thought (damage to MCL) but how severe it was they didn't say, just gave me a knee support, told me what meds to buy, told me recovery could be up to six weeks and sent me on my way.

1hr is pretty good, when I injured my ankle I first had a 3 hour or so wait (night time so official unit was closed) was given a bandage and two painkillers with a message to come back the next day for a x-ray.
Which was another 4 hours wait or something like that the following day iirc, too long ago now.

Had like a 8hr wait when I got at eye infection at work, sitting there feeling like I was going to die with fever and crazy pain in my eye. When I finally got seen they just gave me some eye drops and painkillers and told me to go to the hospital the next day. Norwegian health care at it's finest. They never even found out what was wrong with my eye and what caused it to go from fine to seriously bad in a few hours, so they just gave me anti-biotic, anti-viral, wound salve and penicillin pretty much just gave me everything they had for anything.

Yea that's why I figured it would be like.

Let's hope everything is as minor as they say it is. The bad part if that if there is swelling in there the MRI would not get a true visual of how severe the damage is.

Are the prescription painkillers free also or super expensive?
