Lol! Nah, more a lack of confidence.
A friend took me to the shooting range once. I didn't like it at first, but I got the hang of it by the time we were done. I did okay too. I think I still have the target thingie around here someplace.
The gun I used was heavy, and I was really nervous holding it. Thus, the lack of confidence.

Alright CSB, I did some research. That is NOT just some garden variety snake. It is a Charina Bottae or rubber boa, which are rarely seen during the day.
The lizard is just an FFMI.Last edited by barbrox; 07-16-2014 at 08:31 PM.

"The hardship of the exercises is intended less to strengthen the back than to toughen the mind. The Spartans say that any army may win while it still has it's legs under it; the real test comes when all strength has fled and the men must produce victory on will alone." (Pressfield,1998, p.78)

Well, good for you barb. Now, how about a little information as to why it's not a garden-variety snake, like "There are only two native species of boa constrictors that are native to North America (maybe only two native constrictors period)?"
FFMI? Fat-Free Mass Index?
Don't bother. The British have never really understood the concept of "free", hence America.
Even a house-husband, who doesn't do a damn thing to make actual money, has to die a little inside listening to why Tiffany is mad at Jane, or having to pretend that he likes 90's R&B, or that the salon really f*cked up her hair this time.
Edit:
I mean Chr#st, look at Moore. He only posts now if you pi$$ him off real bad.

Wonder if there is surgery for the serp style gluteus inserts.
Bored so figured I would share some more from the unpumped, bloated and no lighting series, complaining about serp style inserts seemed like a valid excuse to post some.
Just another cause everyone loves Viking pics:
So happy Thursday everyone, weekend is just around the corner!
Edit: remembered it's been a while since I posted some vascularity, so here is some!

managed 160lbs at 5x5 for benching this morning.
but man the last few sets I had to keep telling my right side (bad elbow) to go.go.go because it just wasn't pushing the bar up as fast.
I also managed a rep at 200lbs.
I was at 220 or 225 I think for one rep max on the bench 3 weeks ago.

I need to resurrect the "best of chat" awards. Chris got the Jan thru June 2014 award for best cartoon series by a single male. Forgot to tell you guys.
*I was kidding about gd/bad girl, btw. Quality ppl have ONS. I just meant I'm more traditional/conservative/cautious that way... You never know, tho. I might end up doing something wild just to get it out of my system, lol.Last edited by caprica6; 07-17-2014 at 07:53 AM.

Cartoons are so May 2014, this is July and I am now a naturalist.
---------------------------------
In this episode of Urban Nature Walk with your host CSB , I bring you the North American Beaver:
This particular specimen is named Booker, because he books. He's not as fast as the otters (I mean who is? - those guys are like little superheroes), but you have to walk really fast to keep up with him when he's swimming parallel to the shoreline.
I know some wise-ass is going to make some remark about the quality of my photography, but I ask you, how much morning beaver did you get?
I thought so.
I am also not using a Cannon X-15 Series $3000 DSLR camera like barb. Our crew travels light and aren't hipster d-bags.
Today's informational tidbit (which you wouldn't ever get from barbrox btw) is how to differentiate the North American Beaver from the related, imported species, the British Beaver:

I might be able to understand being envious because this city has so much diversity and options but every time I see you guys post these awesome pictures of where you live, I Get envious. Sometimes people irritate me here with there "Hurry up attitude". Yesterday I was driving from work, tired, I was cruising and in no rush. This moron in a pick up truck passes me and yells some stupid saying to drive faster. I told him that I've been up since 5am and am in no rush and that I wonder what his attitude towards me would be if one day him or one of his family members call 911 and I happen to show up. He responded with "Yea, I understand" which was different than the usual "Go fk yourself".
There's a lot of ignorance in this city but I'm sure that's like that in most places.

That's why you are taking staged pictures of people using a tripod and some big, fancy-ass camera, and not capturing images of animals in the wild.
As a trained naturalist, I can discern a beaver from driftwood.

This is a glorious high-resolution picture of the elusive Great Blue Heron that I shot just the other day:
You can identify the Great Blue Heron by it's coloration, crest, and markings. Also note the plastic bag, indicative of the urban locale.
The interesting tidbit for this installment is that my county outlawed plastic grocery bags about two weeks ago. You can still get paper bags, but they charge 10 cents, so it's best to bring your own bag even if it makes you look like a hippy.
I found this law annoying at first, until I realized that it really, really pi$$es of the teabaggers, so now I am proud to live in a hippy county.
--------------------------------------------
Like 6-7 years ago I'd shoot 200-350 rounds of centerfire pistol ammo (mostly .45's and 9mm), plus a lot of .22's, every weekend. I reloaded .45's and 9mm's were dirt cheap. Not any more though, lead and primers really shot up in price.Last edited by csb5731; 07-17-2014 at 08:52 AM.

Flawless -22 degree horizon. That can't be taught. It's only been theorized. Amazing.
You not only caught the Great Blue Heron in it's natural, bird-like pose, you also captured its reflection. Artful and succinct. I want to be you.
Yet, you had the forethought to include the blue plastic bag, telling the human story of destruction of all that's natural around them. Sounds hippy enough to me, eh?
Wait, so this is a bird I'm looking at, right?*LF Chat Crew
