    Post Am I doing it right ?

    So I just started lifting weight seriously, and as an ectomorph, it's not that easy. So I started off with 3 sets : 1x10, 1x8 and 1x 8rep min to failure+ adding weight. I just wanted to know if that makes sense and if it would allow to progress properly in terms of lifting heavier weights. Plus, i'd like to know if you guys got any tips when bench pressing because i cant seem to be able to handle more weight every couple of workout whatsoever. And if any information is needed about my lifting , just tell me!

    As a beginner you're better off sticking to gaining a base of strength. There are plenty of stickied threads in this forum which give you some ideas but ultimately 5 x 5 is a good choice. Your bench won't improve without the correct diet, however.
