No way we sign Jackson with the amount of money he would want. We are losing free agents left an right because we won't pay anyone. I think we will end up signing Jericho Cotchery and another veteran receiver that isn't to expensive, and then we draft a receiver in the 1st,4th, and maybe 7th round.

I still don't really see why we released Steve Smith. He may have been old by NFL standards and he passed his peak, but he was still a pretty good player.

It saves us 4 million next year and it was mainly for team chemistry reasons. Apparently he was a liability in the locker room and most people on the team were tired of his "you don't work as hard as me, you aren't as good as me, you suck"
Attitude. He wasn't exactly the mentor veteren that teaches young guys stuff.

Yeah but this will probably have a big impact on training camp. We are getting all new receivers and now they won't be able to get in tune with him. Plus it could affect his running ability this season.

Yea man sucks, he is one of the most entertaining QBs to watch. He just needs better receivers. I heard MJD is a free agent now, who do they have for a RB?

We already have a stable of running backs.
Deangello Williams(pretty good), mike tolbert( beast), and Jonothan Stewart(decent but never healthy.) we aren't even interested in thinking about running backs.
