Met him in college. He lived the floor below me in the dorm and made really good coffee (this was in the era before there were Starbucks). I started stopping by with an empty coffee cup on the way to study. We talked and drank coffee for a year before we started dating. That was 1983 and we are still together. And he still makes me coffee everyday.

At a music festival...his friend started chatting up mine so i started chatting to him. They followed us around for a few hours and the rest is texting history really.
Attraction was there from the start although hes the opposite of my usual type, my friends were and still are surprised that I dig him.

I dated a guy that turned out to be a better friend than potential relationship. He kept telling me I needed to meet his friend. We finally met and I was sooo not interested. He was funny and I enjoyed talking to him but he was obviously a bodybuilder and I thought he just had to be self absorbed. But I did admire his broad shoulders, big biceps, blue eyes, etc.... lol. Okay I thought he was hot but he specifically said he would never date me because of my name.
We became great friends, hung out often but we had friend zoned each other. after a few months I created an online dating profile and went on a few dates. He decided that was not okay so he finally worked up the courage to step out of the friend zone. He asked me out while I was on a date. Ditched that guy and the rest is history. Best ten years of my life.

Surprised at the number of online dating stories, or those who refuse to admit it lol. Funny how it's still "taboo", yet so many people do it nowadays.
Met mine on POF as well. Met at McDonalds (srs), and talked for a couple hrs. She told me about past hemorrhoids she'd had even (also srs). Our sense of humor was too similar not to get along. She started to walk away as we said bye, I said nope and grabbed her sweatshirt and pulled her in for a kiss. Good decision I made.

I got the jackpot with my bf, I fall for musicians too.. he's a bassist in a metal band, but he also has a real job. Female friend told me about this guy she worked with who was "totally my type" (except fitter and taller) and even though I had zero interest in another relationship at the time, I couldn't help but want to meet this guy after she told me about him.
We ended up texting for a few weeks, met up once at a coffee shop because I was giving him my guitar to restring and play for a while, then one friday night he had plans with friends who bailed so i invited myself on a date with him lol, stayed at his the rest of the weekend and ended up spending days on end together for the next few weeks and actually dating.
Also.. yes, immediate attraction. Couldn't even form sentences properly the first time we met. Took all my self control (and slight social awkwardness with the opposite sex) to not sleep with him the first weekend haha.Last edited by SkinCoffin; 03-24-2014 at 06:19 PM.
