Fuuu. Just finished reading the Air France 447 crash. The total plunge time from top till crash took 3 mins and 30 seconds. That's a horribly long time. Can't even fathom the terror the passengers and crew members must be feeling.

Prayers and hopes go out to those in the Malaysian airline.

If you had a substantial aviation background I'd be open to having a more in depth discussion, but let's face it, you don't. You have no idea what goes on in the cockpit of modern airliners. I do, that's my full time office. But chit, what do I know?

Both my father and grandfather operate a specific heavy equipment that takes a ton of skill and they are the best at it due to experience. Perhaps aviation is entirely different, even though it's still operating. Props on being a pilot though dude for real. I have respect for you guys. I love traveling but would hate to be away from a solid home all the time.

It didn't have that much damage done to it after impact so it stayed afloat for a while till everyone made it out. Obv they sink after awhile planes aren't light lol.

Highly doubt that. These planes are designed to naturally pull up from a stall, the pilots should've been able to water land it.

lol this reminds me of a guy who works at mcdonalds and hypes it up and tells me how hard it is etc. i dont knwo cause i dont work there so he makes a bunch of bullchit claims and how hes on the fast track to manager/area manager/ district...all the way to corporate. "mcdonalds is alot different bro" yet he never worked there before the "big reform" so how the fuk does he know??

Pretty sure airline doors open inwards (hence the reason that you can't open them mid-flight because of the pressure differential between the cabin and outside.

It's pissing in the ocean in terms of making a crash better, but yeah still.

Chinese premiere Li Keqiang has instructed the respective ministries and departments to beef up their rescue and search effort.

China dispatching rescue ships on 10:49AM and 11:30AM respectively to start the operation.
