Yeah its been a while, I tried to pick it back up again and just wasn't doing it consistently enough. Since I eat the same things over and over much of the time, I have a good feel for how many calories I am getting in a day. With my weight loss being so heavily about calorie deficits, I put a pretty big focus on keeping them low even without logging them

hey Wetty - when you gained back 100lbs, how many calories do you think you were eating per day? Were you at a 1000 cal surplus per day for a year or did you just have 50 days where you ate 10k cal.
just curious because i have had some of the same yo yo problems.

It was just a few months of binges and beer. Thats the problem, when I gain weight I gain it very very fast because even after losing all that weight, if I allow myself to, I can still eat just as much food as I did at 700 lbs. I am the kind of guy that eats so fast that I can down an entire large pizza and breadsticks with like 6 beers before I even realize I am full.
In every media appearance I do and always will. I wouldn't be here without the misc. and my story wouldn't be a story without the misc.(392.4 lbs pounds lost so far)

Congrats on the GoFundMe and all the other good stuff.
Like you, I fell off the horse and gained a lot of weight recently. But I'm starting to diet and exercise again and do my best to get it back down and lose as much weight as I can. I nearly ended up having high blood pressure, low energy, fainting and whatnot.
Let's do it together and make it.
Also, would like you let you know that I have a very big project in the works right now and I'm hoping I can pull it off and get it off the ground. I'm trying to start up a new social media site meant to replace ALL of them. It's meant to be anti-censorship and anti-political correctness. Once it's up and running, you're always welcome to make an account and post your story on there. It's meant to be a total replacement for ********, twitter and etc., will contain the best features of each, but made uniquely. It's going to take a lot of work, but this is my vision and new livelyhood. It's going to take everything I've got to succeed with it and to succeed in life.
Here's to both of us making it this year and the next.
Cheers.

Wetty, how often do you eat quinoa? I've started eating it with tuna and avocado oil, and it's really good. I've been dropping pounds after being stuck at 233 for a while, I'm down to 222.2

Haven't checked the thread in a while but I'm glad to see you're back on the path, Wetty. Do you know what weight you're shooting for before the surgery?

Just saw this thread, Congrats on the progress! I can say I was always into lifting and staying fit until I hit a bout of depression in college and let it go at one point for about 2 years just smoking pot, playing Halo, eating Taco Bell. Went up to about 390 lbs until I decided to make a change. About 2 years later I was at 215 lbs and had a decent 6 pack. You can do it! Life happened to me over the past few years and am around 285 lbs now.. luckily I had still been lifting a decent amount of the time with all the extra intake and am about 10-15 lbs of muscle bigger than my former 215 lb self, but have been trying to take off the spare tire but man is it hard when you don't have some serious motivation. Thanks for the kick start and good luck on the rest of your journey!

OP - since you seem genuine, here is a genuine question I can't just ask people who are clinically obese because it's not PC:
At what point did the weight problem start, why (in your opinion), and how did it progress to that level?
I'm genuinely curious. I was in the fitness industry as a PT and then gym manager for 2.5 years and have talk about weight issues with over 2k people, but getting to the REAL root of the issue is still extremely difficult. I think it could help a lot of people.

09-24-2016, 08:53 AM #8329ASK THE (formerly) FATTEST MAN ON THE MISC ANYTHING
How do you avoid snacking on junk when you get hungry?
I get cravings at night and healthy food seems so boring and unappealing.
How did you keep motivated before you saw any progress?
I've weighed about 240-250lbs for about 10 years now.. even during the times I've done lots of training and ate a bit better. My weight doesn't seem to go down so it's hard to get interested in starting a strict cut.
Good job on your weight loss.In reading the lives of great men, I found that the first victory they won was over themselves… self-discipline with all of them came first.

I have a question, how can I gain weight that easily? I'm 32 and in the last few years I might have put on 10-15 pounds not even working out and eating like crap.
I was waiting until my metabolism slowed down to start working out and putting on serious fat/muscle weight but now I don't know if that ever going to happen.
What can I start eating to put on weight? I'm not all about making meals at home either but I could make shakes if need be.Last edited by roblox84; 09-25-2016 at 02:46 PM.

That is an amazing transformation, you should be proud. I keep yo yoing, and am finding it difficult but thanks to hearing things like this, I never doubt for a moment that a path will open
I had been heavy even in HS, but staying active and periodically attempting to diet would at least keep me under massively obese levels. Eventually, I isolated myself from my friends, started playing extremely addictive PC games, and sinking myself into the online realm, and then the weight just kept coming on. The higher it would go, the less I believed it would ever be lost. Once I hit a point where I didn't care anymore, the lbs came rapidly
Sorry bud, 10/26 and then 12/26. It would have been a bad weigh in this month anyways, I have been yo-yoing
The key is staying extremely busy, drinking so much water that your urine is constantly clear, and not giving yourself time to dwell on hunger. That has been my problem this last month. I do real well during the week. Super low calories while working. But on the weekend, because I have nothing planned out, and have free time on my hands, I get into trouble
This is harder to say. My body just doesn't work like that, so I've never been able to understand the inner working of people who struggle to gain weight. To me, it comes so natural. Eating fast definitely helps. I think that might be my single biggest weight contributor. Even now I can still eat as much as I did at 700 lbs, because I eat so quickly that my body doesn't even know its full until I've packed away thousands of calories(392.4 lbs pounds lost so far)

Poverty reps for the responses WB. Some honesty from somebody in a situation most will never experience but are still curious about could end up being a wonderfully helpful thing to some, just like the rest of your situation i guess. We're all gonna make it brah.

Very inspirational. I remember seeing the original post. Just saw the bodybuilding.com ad on youtube about your full story. I have a couple questions... how hesitant were you about uploading those original pics? How did you feel once you did and what was your intent behind posting your pics instead of just getting off the misc when that mod msgd you? Were you sort of hoping the misc would inspire you, or was it just purely for lulz. Also do you plan to have surgery to fix the loose skin?

Been keeping an eye on this thread. I just wanted to bump it to just join in encouraging you to stick with it. Suffering setbacks is a part of life. Just stay focused on the end goal and keep chipping away at it. There are a lot of folks that have drawn inspiration from your story and continue to do so as that journey is something that an abundance of people can relate to, apart from those also wanting to get control of their weight...
