Selling my house and upsizing/taking out a bigger mortgage.
Plan on taking out a further $10,000 ontop of required mortgage to buy gym gear.
Size of the gym will be approx the size of a 1 car garage (house will have double garage but we will want to park 1 car in there)
Basically asking all you sick kunts what you think the best equipment to have in a home gym would be and what other must have items I'll need.
Or post photos of your home setups!
First purchase will be a MASSIVE poster of arnie for the wall.

I looked into doing this since I have the money, the space, and just because why not. I've only been lifting 5 months but I'd rather have my own space that I can use whenever I want with no membership, no waiting, and not having to find the least crowded times at the gym.
Anyway these two threads kinda helped me get an idea of what I need. They're super old but still helpful lol

If you're wanting to save money I think this could be helpful. I have one in my basement and both sets of racks and bench are both movable so you can set it up for incline/decline etc. Also can flip the racks to face the other way for squat and OHP rack. Preacher curl set up is height adjustable and removable for leg curls/extensions although I'll admit it isn't the best set up for either. You can remove the handles on the preacher curl easily if you want them out of the way for free weight curls.
Of course if you're not a broke ducker like me than you can get all these things in separate forms.

Power rack with pull-up bar
Adjustable bench
A good bar (old one was cheap and bent)
Stretching/resistance bands/foam roller
Curling bar
495lbs/225kg of weights
I only have a few DB up to 60, you'd probably want some more but they tend to cost a lot
Make sure you have an adequate platform if you're gonna do deads
Edit: lifting belt, dips belt, straps, any stuff like that u might need

Some of every weight plates
Those little dumbells where you can put plates on them as well. lol
