2014 concerts

Making this thread to post concerts I want to see this year and looking to see what other people are into. I already bought Motley Crue tickets for August. Other than that haven't seen anything I was interested in until just now. It's early in the year still and I'm sure a lot of tours haven't even been announced yet though.




I will probably go to this one as I like both BLS and Down.



Curios about what the bands will be on this one but the lineup won't be announced for a few weeks. Rumor is it's Korn and Avenged Sevenfold. http://rockstarmayhemfest.com/

Yeah, the BLS and Down show should be good though. I saw Anvil tickets on sale for $10 also but it was on a Tuesday night or something.

They come to about 1 45 minutes away. So i dunno.

I hope you are wrong on mayhemfest. I like korn but not avenged. Thats a pretty boring headline...

Ive seen both before and liked 'em. Have a soft spot in my heart for Avenged Sevenfold because I saw them in Iraq on Christmas Eve a few years ago when I was there and that was like the best day of the year for me.

Just got home yesterday from 11 shows of Ratdog Tour. Phil&Friends are playing 10 nights at the Capitol in April. This summer is 50 year anniversary so there's whisperings of a "reunion."


All the summer festivals, of course. Mountain Jam. Gathering of the Vibes in CT, Peach Fest with the Allman Bros, and the second annual LocknFest in Arrington VA. the weekend after Labor Day. NOT camping. I met soooo many band members staying at the Holiday Inn!

Thinking about traveling to edmonton (7hrs) to see Crüe later in the year.

Took Angie to see pink in Las Vegas and I have to say she puts on a really good concert.

I'm going to catch flack for this one but my daughter (step daughter from my marriage but still calls me dad) turns 16 tomorrow so Angie and I are taking her and a friend to Edmonton in May to see lady gaga. I know gaga can actually sing very well live so it will probably be decent.

There's a few songs from psyclon 9 that I like. I heard combichrist is on tour. I could get into seeing them. The Kraftwerk show is gonna be in 3D they're doing 3 back to back shows in the east bay, two or all three sold out.

I seen Motely Crue in 1987. Excellent concert. They opened for Whitesnake, but Crue was better.

Another sign of getting older I am not really one to go to concerts anymore.

I stopped going for years but when I got seperated last year I started going to a bunch of them again. I wouldn't say age is a reason to stop going though. There were a lot of people way older than me at some of the shows I went to last year. I mean people in their 60s were at Black Sabbath and Soundgarden to name a couple that I specifically remember seeing some geezers at.

I've seen them at some pretty odd venues years back. I saw Jorma at Fireman's Park in Hempstead, LI in 1981. Best shows were at the now defunct Calderone in Franklin Square LI and at CW Post and Stony Brook College.

They're playing in NY in Port Chester on 6/19 and more local to me, 6/20 at Westbury. I have to go...
