I usually prefer the heavier Ambers like Amber Absolute over the Blue Amber/Ambre 114/Ambre Precieux/etc variety. So I'm thinking Ambre Sultan will be good for me. BTW, your collection is awesome and prob the closest ITT to what I'm aiming for

And yeah you'll definitely like this then. It's a "big" rich scent. The name is perfect too, I can't help but think that this is exactly what the inside of a sultans tent would smell like.

I've heard from TP and a buddy of mine that the Lacoste doesn't last long, but I never notice. After a while, you get use to the scent on you so I can never tell. A few hours after spraying it on, I still have people asking what I'm wearing, but can't say if it was more than 3 hours. I'll take note next time.

I wanna start up a srs stronk collection but I can't be buying mad sexpensive perfumes every week nahmsaiyan. Any suggestions on my first buy? Was thinking Aventus, heard a lot of good chit about that. Right now I'm just using some rub-on? Musk, it's soft and friendly and everyone seems to like it.

Don't feel the need to go for something 'niche' (i.e. much more expensive) just because it seems popular. Personally I think Aventus is overrated, I enjoy it but it isn't the be all and end all fragrance it sounds like.

Go to a department store and sample, sample, sample. I must have sampled a dozens before I made my first purchase. My first was YSL L'Homme and it might still be my favourite in my collection. When I was trying to choose which Chanel I was going to buy, I must have worn Edition Blanche and Homme Sport a 5 times each to make sure I was making the right decision before pulling the trigger on a full bottle.

As you sample more, you'll get an idea of what you like and don't like and from the note breakdown and reviews and you can order cheap decants of fragrances. I've got 20+ decants, mostly designer, all blind buys but at around $5 each it's not a big loss if you don't like it.

I just went to Vegas last week, and took my 30ml Aventus & GIT decants, and a 50ml bottle of Allure Sport in a freezer bag in my carry on.

Then bought a 100ml DHI at the Dior boutique and brought it back in the same bag.

You can have up to 4oz liquid per container, but they all have to fit within one zip lock bag. You also have to take that bag out of your carry on when going through security. I had it in one of the tubs with my shoes, phone, and wallet, and my carry on in another tub. They didn't say a thing at either airport.

I do not see myself buying a ton of cologne, I mostly will want a few here and there...I think my first purchase in the coming weeks will be Aventus Creed, seems like a simple and safe pick...yes I know its pricey, but if I use it once to twice a month even the 2.5 oz bottle should last me a long while.

I plan on ordering it on Amazon, but directly from Amazon's warehouse...as I would assume that is the safest bet lol....anyways at the very least it is interesting to learn about new things and hobbies that people enjoy! and the fact you all have so much fun makes me want to research a lot more lol.... I just need to find a better job to supplement all this buying I am doing!

Ya like smith said, either go with a decant of aventus, and a bunch others, or just go all out and get the 4 oz. Personally if you didn't care to much for collecting id rather have a rotation of a few decants.

so how does the decant work? I know its a split and by looking on the first page it seems only M323 is splitting the Aventus Creed..... I am trying to find the answers on my own( as I feel like this has been asked a ton lol) but can't seem to find much

also that feel when chatting up guarlein salesperson, and end up getting 15ml+ of Tonka, SDV, Bois d'armenie and cuir beluga

worked on the killian salesperson as well but only ended up with like 7-8samples of back 2 black, straight to heaven and bamboo harmony

Yea i would pm him about what your looking for when your ready to make a purchase. You can ask for what sizes he carrys I'm pretty sure its 5ml,10ml,30ml and possibly others. 10ml lasts a fairly long time especially if you only use it 1-2 times month Im yet to get through a full decant but then again i have about 20 bottles which means more choices.

The price is going to be extremely fair considering the people in here split at the price that the stuff costs(juice+atomizers+shipping costs). If you have anything else feel free to ask here or pm me.
