He should still retire. But this was his best show in a LONG time. I was actually surprised, I expected to see the usual Golem. He's not pretty, but he was huge and hard (NO. FUKKING. HOMO)... His legs from the back were top-3 on stage. If it wasn't for his completely non-existent forearms, I'd actually say he looked good.
No chit, I was surprised. Still not great to look at but from a bodybuilding perspective he brought it way better than he has in a long time.
I can't hate on him for this one... Respect.

I never have time for the contests really, but I saw Branch in person in the pump room and he looks amazing. There will be an HD video of that coming soon, as fast as I can get it online. But it will be up in 12 hours for sure. All that I can say about his conditioning is mind = blown.

I got trolled earlier in the chat (http://tinychat.com/q8iopi) about Branch retiring... when I saw that though I thought "I guess he's getting out before it gets worse"
I'm not a big fan of Branch's physique but that guy sure does bring some tough conditioning

Have to agree , thought he showed a lot better tonight than he did in the Olympia
Our Arnold, whose arms are heavy,
Vascular be thy veins
Nine sets of lunges, ten reps be done,
To add girth as it is to strengthen.
Give us this day our daily protein, and forgive us our fats,
As we forgive those who eat fast food.
And lead us not into overtraining, nor deliver us pizzas,
For thou art the king of the dumbell, the power clean, and the steroids forever,
Amen.

Great showing. Proving people wrong that he was completely done. His best days are behind him for sure but he is still a crowd favourite, huge and perfectly capable of holding his own next to anyone onstage. He is too thick and dense to be outsized by anyone and that is something to take away from a great career.

You never know. A couple years ago people were saying and thinking that Dexter Jackson was done, after he lost to Evan Centopani and had some disappointing placings at the Olympia. And we all know he basically resurrected his career after all that, winning the Arnold and everything.
So who knows what may happen with Branch. Granted, Branch's body is very different from Dexter's and has faced many injuries, but still.

Here is the pump room footage with Branch showing how shredded he was. I don't think he has anything left to prove though...plus bodybuilding is not exactly a healthy activity at that level and for that long:

He was PUMPED, HUGE, HARD, ROUND AND VASCULAR WITH A SHINY HEAD.
No homo.
But yeah, Branch looked very good. I doubt he'll place in the top 3 at the O or win the Arnold, but he's not necessarily DONE. He's just going to have to be more selective when it comes to the shows he competes in. Perhaps enter other shows he wouldn't usually compete in.
