no he didnt have a six pack but he wasnt far off, i guess its cause he has big lovehandles, i feel a bit bad about this post now, it was rather shallow of me

I think our definitions of skinny are different

If you want him back to the way he was before, then he won't have to go below 170.

He could probably be 170 again in like 2-3 months.

But more importantly, instead of asking us, why dont you tell him that you are becoming less happy with his appearance? Couples get comfortable with each other and its easy to let some things go but its also very important to have open and honest communication about your preferences too. If he loves you, im sure he wont mind trying to lose a little of the weight.., as long as you are supportive about it.

Thats fine and dont feel too bad, we all do silly things such as this. But we are human! I've been turned down by girls that now want me due to being really fat in the past. I would edit/remove the pic though but leave the thread open, incase good advice comes in. Just post height and weight, and we will know

OP, if you are serious, you need to bring this up to him in a nice way, & emphasize the health concerns. Telling him he's fat, showing him this thread, or whatever, that's just cold.

It may help you in terms of clarification but its obvious he's fat loL. Just encourage him to join you in the gym but just know that every word you say, every action and gesture will impact your relationship. As far as the forum goes, the thread was created in the right section. Many of the members can give objective opinions that aren't based on competition standards. However, this thread would have gone over better had you suggested your boyfriend post it as an experiment. That way, he'd get clued in on how he is perceived by a general population, and then get directed to resources to help lose the gut.

Yes, yes he is fat... very fat.. probably technically obese by at least 5% body fat. Not to be mean, but in all seriousness that is pure fat, little to no muscle.

Lol all I needed was his height and weight to know he's fat. His picture and general trends about people that height indicate that he needs to lose like 50 lbs to be relatively lean. Chit, that pic makes me think he needs to lose 70 lbs actually...

Every inch = 10 lbs. The equivalent for you is 220. To be 220 and under 15% bodyfat would make you look like a god.

Op's 50 lb loss would be the equivalent of you being 170 (as a beginner, to make the comparison between you and OP's progress fair). I'm thinking that's right about where you'd be looking ripped.
