Hello all,
First of all, thank to mdritter and the other Inner Armour reps for allowing me the opportunity to review this product!
Here's a picture of the tub. I have some other pics, but I left my iPad at home today
I haven't quite finished the tub yet. I used this as more of a snack than anything. I'm in a clean bulk mode right now, and the extra carbs really help. I still eat mostly whole foods for my meals, so this just helped to fill in a little at the beginning or end of the day. Most of the time I used it post-workout with a PB & J sandwich
Here's a shot of the label as well:
Profile:
I have to say that the profile is not overly impressive to me. It has plenty of carbs, a huge servings size and plenty of calories.
The carb sources are primarily Maltodextrin and Waxy Maize, which are digested quickly. I much prefer a carb source such as brown rice or quinoa over this.
The protein content is a bit tricky to nail down. The addition of creatine, glutamine and glycine tends to skew the actual content. Not being an excellent math person, I don't have an exact number here, but I'm pretty sure the actual protein content is far less than the listed 50g of protein per four humongous scoops.
Other than that, this is a good way to get in a lot of extra calories. This could be really helpful for the skinny folks trying to pound down a ton of calories per day.
Mixability
I had a lot of trouble getting this to mix properly. At times, I would get a "sludge" type residue on the interior of the shaker lid almost every time. I generally only used 1 scoop at a time, as you would need a gallon shaker cup it seems to mix a full serving, LOL.
I always used far more water than it recommended, because otherwise I had a hard time getting it out of my shaker. I was never able to try it, but I think 4 scoops mixed with 27 ounces of water would be too thick to drink. On average, I used about 20 ounces of water per scoop.
The flavor was decent, but not the best chocolate flavor that I have ever had. It is decent, though.
Value
Pretty decent value.
However, there are higher quality gainers out there for a comparable (if not slightly cheaper) price. I have to be honest and say that I will not buy this product in the future when looking for a gainer. Based on serving size, this product is more expensive per ginormous serving. However, you would get more calories with this product.
If you are on a budget, this might work for you. If you can afford a higher end gainer, I might go ahead and go with that.
Overall
While not happy with the protein content and the carb sources, I have to say that this product could deliver on mass gains if used properly. Like all supplements, a product like this has its place.
I am a firm believer in the health benefits of real food, but if you have a hectic schedule and are trying to put on some mass, then a product like this can help you out.
I apologize if this review seems harsh or overly critical. This is not to say that I am not grateful to receive this product for free to review. I really appreciate the generosity of Inner Armour, and wish them all the best!
Thanks again, guys!

Great review! I agree with you; a pretty solid option for just getting in some extra calories (particularly if it's on sale), but it does have its bugaboos with its profile and thickness.
