well, yesterday i didn't get in a workout in part because i was lazy and didn't get my butt out of bed before work. i relied on the failed method of, "i'll do it after work." well, of course things at work didn't go according to plan. however, throughout the day, i kept feeling guilty about not doing anything.
this morning, i woke up 30 seconds before the alarm, i wasn't motivated, but i knew (after my first week), that i couldn't explain another weight gain to this group, so y'all motivated me and i got in a good quality workout before work. now i can go through the day with that off the "to do" list. the important thing is to do it again tomorrow so i get in the habit and routine of this.
the down side is that the morning workout place is more of a fitness center and not a fully equiped gym. the plus side is, i'm there at 3:30 a.m. and get all the equipment to myself!!
diet is going okay. can use some cleaning up. i'm getting tired of steamed broccoli, especially since i'm trying to eat it without salt.

It amazes me how many people are tenaciously clinging to the 'small, frequent meal' theory. The critical flaw in that theory is that what's relevant is when your food is digested, not when it's consumed. Your digestive track is close to 30 feet long... it takes hours and hours and hours to digest food. If you eat a sh!tload of calories in one "meal", it's just going to take you that much longer to digest and will most likely be digested at the same time it would if you ate it later. So your body doesn't even know what a "meal" is... or a "sitting" or "at one time" or whatever else you want to call it...

Yesterday was my daughter's birthday! She hit the big 14 so we took her and her boyfriend out for the night. I decided that it was a prime time to do a cheat night, but now I am here to confess.
First, here is my daughter: She gets her looks from her mom.
We started with the best part of the meal first... DESERT!!
Mine: Adam's Peanut Butter Reeses Butterfinger Cheesecake
The Daughters: Some kind of Choc. Smore's Delight
The Wifes: White choc Macadamia Nut Caramel
My Dinner: Buffalo Style Burger with blue cheese dressing and Sweet Potato Fries
I ate several bites of both of their cheesecakes, and of course all of mine.
Calculated Calorie intake: 4710... but dang it was good.
Back on the bandwagon today!Starting Date: 03/01/2016

Me too.. but I bake them which is not quite as good as those grease balls they have
I had talked to him before about it and he says he benches 215. After meeting him last night, I don't see it. He is 14 as well, and 6'2" tall. Plays football and basketball, but I don't see 215 out of him. I think I got the 215 to try to impress the dad statement.Starting Date: 03/01/2016

It's funny, I know the husbands Mean Well but in the end, it just Ruffles MY Feathers! Mine tries to give me his opinion too. I've heard it plenty of times before. I've told him I don't feel the same way he does about food but for whatever reason, he HAS to share. It's down right frustrating!!! I certainly can understand the eye roll. LOL I've gone so far as to tell my DH that I don't tell him what or how to eat so why does he feel the need to tell me. Not sure, but he does. Glad you don't buy into the garbage he's selling. It might work wonders for him but your not him and buy now you'd think he'd notice! : ) Kuddos to you for sticking to your guns!!!

Congrats to all that lost weight this past week. My hats off to the top 10 losers!!!
I took a new job and have been working 11 hours each day except on Sunday. I happen to be off today and I found out I had a ton of catching up to do. Wow, so much talk about Fluff. Sounds interesting and worth giving it a try. Not sure where to buy two of the ingredients. It certainly got some rave reviews here.
I had my blood work done this past week. I have it checked every 6 months like clock work due to my thyroid. I found out that my thyroid is off and that my meds need to get adjusted.01/02/2019 Starting weight: 221.5 lbs

Good day everyone!
Hope everyone's day going great!
Woke up today feeling kind of sick faild my nutrition exam...morning started out rough....
After I ate breakfast felt a lot better and decided to go do some grocery shopping cause I'm having the hardest time hitting my fat min... On a good day I'll not 45g max.....
So I picked up some roasted dark choc almonds...YUM. Also iv never been able to find the "PB & co" brand of peanut butter and by god grace I found it this morning! Had the hardest time picking white or dark choc.. Settled for dark chock did a taste test when I got home and I sware to god that jar is just compressed peanut butter cups! So good! And it's 20 less cals then regular PB?! This is god gift I think...
Was going to skip the gym today stomachs has been feeling bloated and achy but the girl of my dreams called me and wants me to go to the gym with her today cause me and her are planning on running a lot if 5ks this summer so she wants to train together, soooo looks like no easy day for me but I'll take it if it means I get to work out with her sorry a little sappy but she's a Godess to me and she knows it hahaha

Well these past couple of days have been bad.... I wanted to try the new Ben and Jerrys so I left some calories at the end of Tuesday. They didn't have the one I wanted so I ate a serving of Chubby Hubby and put it away! Can't believe I was able to control myself and not eat the whole thing. Calories have been coming in a little high this week, but still under maintenance so all is well!
Have a great day everyone!

So today I woke up at 3 am after I went to sleep at 12am. Yeah lame I know! I just chilled for like 30 min then I started to feel really cold because weather and just my body was feeling cold lol. Just before going to bed I made some vanilla pudding with sugar free jell-O pudding mix ( freaken delicious !!!). I used whole milk 2 cups which added 200 calories and then the entire packet of vanilla pudding 100 calories so 300 calories. It was heaven in my mouth ! Really wish I can find some sugar free chocolate pudding next time I go shopping which might be this weekend since low on cheddar cheese.
Anyway after I ate my vanilla pudding I it was like 4am was still feeling cold so I took an hour long shower that was on max hot settings. Was so good just standing underneath the hot running water. Stayed up till around 7 finishing the latest Hobbit movie then went to sleep.
Woke up later feeling pretty good. Made some fluff Mmmmmm tasted like peanut butter. This is the final product after topping it with 3 serving of hershey chocolate chips and some syrup hnnng. Was excellent meal of peanut carmel chocolate heaven.
After that I went and hit the GYM. Decided to change up my routine a bit and try out ICF since I went to the GYM relatively early beating the mob of chatters in the GYM. Got to a smith machine for benching and squating since it was safer for solo mission and the 1 olympic barbell was being used. Managed to work up to 160lb on bench with smith ( thats 70 on each side plus the 20 lb bar) was decent for me considering I can do 65 lb dumbbell bench. So kinda new pr? Not sure lol but was happy about it!
Now when I squatted I hit a new PR! Woohoo! First I was squating 90 lb because this lady wanted to squat so I let her join in and I just wanted warm up my quads and hamstring. I was doing really really really deep mature squats with 90 lb really happy about my depth with decent weights and hopefully will keep building up my strength for deep squats with higher weights. Anyway after 3 sets of 90 lb doing 15 reps I started adding weight and doing 5 reps. I worked my way up to 270 lb! Damn was bit scared to try it but WOOHOO! Did it! Was so pumped. Did 2 sets of 270 for 5 then 4 on last one. I admit it wasnt really past parrelel but it was 90 degree squat so yeah Ill take it because I don't want to go past parrellel and not bring it back up without someone spotting. So staying safe and trying my best to do the best form without injury!
After doing my sets of bench and squat the 1 free olympic barbell became available since no one was using it. Did stifflegged deadlifts to focus on core and hamstrings. Then followed it with rows and shrugs. Couldnt do 135lb rows so just did 115lb. Did 5x5 and threw in some pull-ups.
I then went to hit my shoulders and there was this trainer I am friendly with and he was like why are you using 25lb for front lateral raises. He was saying that the shoulder muscle is small and that I will tear it. I lol-ed in my mind because inorder to build muscle and strength its all about progressive overload. If you don't progress in weight you wont get stronger. He said that he just lifts light because he doesn't want to get injured. I accepted what he said and told him if people want to get bigger and stronger they need to do progressive overload. Then he told me "Did you read that somewhere" and I said "Yeah, studies". Mind you this trainer has a degree in sports and nutrition and is a PT. I was a bit taken back by his lack of knowledge in no better words to describe. Lol Yeah I am writing alot.
Not done! Lol. After working on shoulders did isolation exercises on ABs. There was this tall friend I made at the GYM that I see him frequently in the afternoon doing tons of calisthenics came to me and was like dude you are looking good. Made me feel good that my hard work is paying off.
Anyway overall impression kinda like ICF might stick with it and switch from A and B and work on getting to GYM earlier to get the barbell for myself instead of using the dumbbell for chest.
Sorry for the long post... well not really because wanted to share my day because just was feeling really good about it. Had a spring in my step when I was walking back from GYM and feeling like a boss. feelsgoodman.jpgStrive to be the better self that one could possibly be.

"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." Pictures tell the truth whether you're doing good or bad.
20 lbs is a lot of weight gain for someone 5 ft tall.
I can't believe how much bigger I got over the winter.
that is all.Hi, I'm Crystal :)
