Morning all.
Lot's to catch up on here. I'm seeing PR's, vacations, and flowers lol. I'm glad people are staying strong and keeping it moving forward, despite minor setbacks.
Today was my first day lifting since i got back. Shoulders, calves and abs. Great workout! feels good. 2 soccer games tonight. Looking forward to both. their back to back, so it should be a nice really fun time. Soccer last night was great. although this one girl man... her cleats tore my leg up something fierce. Me and peroxide are best frienemies right now (it burns so much lol).
Everyone keep moving forward. I'm glad to see that people are more determined in the thread than ever. I'm not seeing ANY excuses. Everyone is owning up, and making changes accordingly. Pretty impressed.I posted this is my motivation thread but i'll post my haul from the show here as well.

I know you already know this Tony.. but as encouragement, I gained 14 LBS a couple weeks ago on a refeed type week/ laid up in bed because of doctor. I lost 12 of it in two days. Rest came off a day or two later. Don't let it get you down. Unless you ate 42000 cals over your maint., its mostly water.

Today is Fat Tuesday/International Pancake Day and I celebrated by working out with my son this morning for an hour and a half and having protein pancakes for lunch. My son's a trooper and is ready to go 5 minutes after I wake him up. He'll be 14 soon, but he looks like a man to me when he's getting all his stuff ready with no complaints. This morning in the gym he says to me "Why are you so aggressive in the gym?" and my reply was "get used to it". He replied with "oh wow mom". He's seeing a different side of me and I'm seeing a different side of him. I always loved working out by myself, but teaching my son how to lift is the most rewarding thing I've done in a long time. On the way home we've been talking about nutrition and such, so he's getting an education for sure. I see him watching me and that's helping me get back on track. I've got my calories down to 1300 and I'm starving, but it just tells me I'm on the right track again. It's easy to fool ourselves if we're not counting calories or weighing regularly. I know the hunger will go away when I re adjust, but it sucks for now.
How are y'all doing?Hi, I'm Crystal :)

That's great you are getting him involved. I wish my parents where the active ones I seem to be the one changing everyones habits here. Keep starving too! It will feel good when you can see the results on paper and soon in the mirror. I'm down at 1100 with you. Lots of tea and water!
I'm at 145.2 now and I hope to get to 137 by mid April! Then maintain myself for a couple weeks and then it's bulking time! (Which may be harder than losing weight since I'm lazy about the gym)

I think it's wonderful that you're teaching your son how to workout at the gym. He's at a great age for learning the skills that will carry him through life. It's also a fantastic way for the two of you to bond.
I look forward to getting to know you and everyone else. Love all the positive energy.01/02/2019 Starting weight: 221.5 lbs

Awesome, Crystal! I also share weight lifting with now 2 of my kids (son who is almost 17 and daughter who is almost 14). I've gotten them both into lifting (on ICF 5x5) and my daughter has interest in being a power lifter. My son just wants girls (lol).
This should renew your commitment to health and wellness....little eyes are on you....if even they are getting bigger. LOL.

^^^^ Yup! This only takes the ability to deny the evolutionary urge to eat (aka, hunger) and patience.
Awesome. You can lose a lot of that with three solid months of a daily support group and weekly accountability. Don't quit.
@ Kristen: Do you think that you'll ever get to a point where you're satisfied or are we going to hear about you competing in figure competitions in a few years?"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do."
