One of my friends just hooked it up with a position at our state zoo as a member of the restaurant crew. I'm excited because I've been trying to find a job for the longest time, but my moms upset because she thinks I can "do better." I've tried applying to other places and they all either require staff to be 18+ in age, or have prior work experience, which I don't have at all. Is it fair that my mom wants me to wait for a better job position, or should she just be happy for me finally getting a fuarking job brahs?

That's what I'm saying; I'm not trying to make a fuarking career out of it. Plus the experience on my resume will look good for future inquiries. She has this elitist outlook on life that I don't really agree with; expects my first job to be a paid internship at our nearby medical college. Lol.

Are you making money? Are you at the age to where you have to be supporting yourself 100%?
Then she can shut her damn mouth
My first job was making sandwiches for overly uptight ass holes (Subway) and now I work at a job with two weeks vacation (starting), full health and dental insurance, option days and am about to make $11.50 an hour. Your first job does not dictate your future careerThe best advice that I was ever given, was to give up.
(It fuarkin means people pushed me to try harder in order to disappoint them, you idiots.)

I would scrub **** off of toilets for a nickel if it meant 1 nickel vs. nothing.
You have to be hungry. A job is a job, some pay is better than none.
To get where others aren't, you have to be willing to do what others won't. That is why so few are successful.
Stay hungry It's YOUR job, not your mums. It's YOUR life. Not your mums."If you don't like where you are, work harder."

"Tomorrow is never a guarantee."
