I would much rather get the majority of, if not all of my protein from shakes and bars, but I hear that it's worse for you than eating real food. Why? If I get enough carbs and fat throughout the day, how would it affect my health negatively if I had nothing but shakes and bars for protein?

protein from food is generally a more complete source with all the Aminos in it, but all in all its nothing to worry about if you need to get it all from shakes
Bench: 170kg/375lbs 1RM : 150kg/330lbs 5RM
Squat: 220kg/500lbs 1RM : 180kg/485lbs 5RM
Deadlift: 230kg/505lbs 1RM
Barbell Row: 140kg/315lbs 10RM
