The GI of Regular old fashioned oatmeal is 49. The GI of fast cooking oatmeal is 65. While that proves regular is better, can you really say that a 16 point jump is terrible? Whole wheat bread has a GI of 69. I am really only saying this cause I bought a large container of quick cooking oatmeal for cheap at BJ's Wholesale Club. I usually eat Shredded Wheat Spoon sized but they don't sell it at BJ's and I wanted to save money.

About Oatmeal and Instant Oatmeal
If you always talk about how you could be in great shape if you just worked out and ate right, why don't you just work out and eat right?

A GI of 65 is still pretty good. I would choose the one I like the best. In my opinion, quick oats do taste better.
How did you find out about the GI's of those foods? Is there a guide or website that lists them?
