Hello...Just wanted to share my current, ongoing, transformation story...
I am Morbidly Obese...I know that and I'm not afraid to admit it...
I started this journey on January 6th of this year with a starting weight of 467.6lbs. I have no excuses...it's not because of bad genetics...I didn't have a bad childhood...I was lazy, had no initiative, no motivation, ate like a friggin' pig when I was younger and it led to me eating the same way up until now. I've been down this road before, go to the gym for a couple of months and eat clean, THEN JUST QUIT! NOT THIS TIME!!! I have dropped my daily calorie intake, I drink at least a gallon of water everyday, I am currently working out 4-5 days a week (not to mention I walk at the least 3.1 miles a day at my job). As of yesterday (2/18/2014) I weighed in at 433.3lbs losing 34.3lbs in a little over 5 weeks. I have a long, LONG way to go but I really am feeling and seeing a difference and so are my peers. I guess what I'm trying to do is just put this out there for people to see...kind of a message to myself to look back on when I feel like giving up. Not to quote the old cliche, "If I can do it, Anybody can do it", but this is the honest truth whether anyone believes it or not. Just wanted to share this and will be updating at least weekly with progress stats and pics soon to come.
Thanks to everyone that DOES read this and to anyone who decides to comment.
MOTIVATION IS KEY!!!

welcome op. let me give some advice OP. you say motivation is key, but for me I don't really believe in it. there are days I am not motivated to do anything. there are days when the motivation I search for never came. Or it came and I didn't use it. the key is consistency and force. I am uncomfortable all the time, and that's the way it's supposed to be for the rest of your life. good luck

I am on the last leg of my own fat loss journey right now and can honestly say that once you find a day to day groove of caloric intake weight will start to fall off.
The only advice I have that really transcends everyone's individual journey is to take pics when you hit milestones and take detailed weekly logs of measurements and weight. I look back on my log and its mind numbing to see old measurements.New and improved crew

it's easy to revert back to your old ways when you start to crave the comfort of what you were doing before. especially if you see no results right away. you might not even realize you're ordering a bunch of fast food or skipping on what you're doing, but it'll be in the back of your head. and all because you're unmotivated or not where you wanna be. that's the problem is counting on being motivated. like I said above, don't rely on motivation at all. the motivation will come when seeing visible results. but you can't stop at that point. the pain will come and that will be the test of your will.
