    wouldn't mind doing powerlifting but I have bad fat storing genetics so it would be hard for me to keep lean since you have to eat like a tank and I hate being fat

    Been lifting for 2 years and found myself starting to get into powerlifting, bodybuilding is so gay the sole purpose is to look good and i get some people just want that or as a release in the gym.But the adrenaline i get from getting from getting a PR is amazing, and knowing that i could get that feeling every month, makes me want to run to the gym. A man should be big and strong, cutting natty is just going to make you look a little better then some abercrombie model not worth it. I want to eat like a man should and be strong.

    There will be a huge divide by posting this. I have personally competed in both and feel there are great benefits from both. I currently focus on BBing but I feel that BBing gave my the foundation I needed. Bigger muscles have the potential to be stronger muscles. I really like the BBing training but the people in the PL world and the PL competitions are more my speed. The support, the fact that everyone on the platform has been through the same grind and feel the same nerves...it's just a different road but both can do what they are really meant for; discover things about yourself, set some goals and have fun.
