I believe I paid over $700 total but I live in California, where they have a ****load of fees and a high sales tax. On Beretta's site, their suggested retail is $675, so anything under that is a pretty good deal. A box of ammo if you buy it retail at the local store or Walmart will probably run you anywhere between thirty cents to fifty cents a round for plinking. If you want defense rounds, you'll probably get them for about a dollar a round. I suggest buying them in bulk at a place like ammoman.com for about thirty cents or less a round, depending on how clean you want your rounds to be (but then again, the 92FS doesn't seem to care what it eats according to most people, I've been babying mine though). The only negative part about a 9mm gun is that you're sort of on the border of making it worth your time to load your own ammo.

92FS has a really soft recoil, just barely above a 22 pistol in my opinion. A girl a hundred pounds smaller than me had no issue firing off rounds with it. And some people do double up on hearing protection, but I don't think the 92FS is that loud. But it also matters what the person next to you is shooting.

Alright, thanks. I don't need fancy 9mm ammo. I think a 50 round box should set me up. 15 rounds per clip at 3 clips that's 45 rounds. 5 left over. lol..I know I need more.
:/
Not worried about recoil but idk what to expect, lol. Yah I'll double up anyway to protect my hearing. Thanks.
My friend has one, nice gun.
I'll try my best bro.

Springfield XD9 5" Service Model
9mm
16 round double stack
$500
trigger safety, grip safety and firing pin block, and out-of-battery safety.
Most important safety is between your ears.
Find a range near you that rents out guns. If they rent them, they'll probably have a 92fs, some Springfields and some Glocks available for you to try. See which feels right.★★★★★★ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Status: Fat and weak → 201 lbs ~19% bf

A fifty round box? That'll last you about fifteen minutes, if that, at the range. Also, I believe the Beretta comes with two magazines (poverty ten rounders in California, stupid laws). If you plan on using it for defense, I suggest buying a box of defense rounds as well and keeping a magazine loaded with them near the gun. They are designed to stop people and practically never fail. Also, have you fired a gun before? If not, I highly suggest taking a lesson. They're usually offered at local ranges or gun shops, sometimes even for free (just the cost of ammo and maybe a rental firearm).

Thanks. I think I might find a gun range and try some guns out first. But I really want the Beretta so I might just buy it anyway and bring it to gun range with 1,000 rounds..lulz.
Of course not. You're in the military. Uncle Sam chooses for you. But, I read about that and you can't compare a poorly maintained Beretta M9 to 92FS.
Defense rounds? No need. Just unload clip..
Lmao. K then. Hope I don't get jammed up and blow the pipe.
Bulky? Good good. It's got the intimidation factor going for it. I'm not gonna CCW so it doesn't matter if its large for a 9.
Thanks for all the comments, any more tips or suggestions? Thanks brahs.♚ inhumanity ♚

U mad *******? Lmao.
Anyway, you did make a good point about spending a lot of money without having fired a gun. I looked some more and it turns out there's a range nearby that rents the Beretta 92FS...so maybe I'll do that first.
Maybe in ****gy time PA. But not in my state partner.♚ inhumanity ♚
