Was looking forward to this game before it came out, then some sh!t went on in my life and I completely forgot about it until today. Now I've been seeing some not-so-great reviews but most of you seem to be enjoying it. Should I try it out, and is there a demo or anything?

No theres no demo afaik.

Yeah I'm the only miscer (in the guild) whose logged on in the last month. Most have been inactive for well over 4 months. There are significantly less bugs, DK's still **** **** up, PVP is laggy and the quests are repetitive. There is now some end game content though. I mainly just run trials (which are simple and take about 15 minutes).

I don't have the authority to recruit members but I've sent BRISK a pm, so if you still play send me a message in game @smithbrah and hopefully i can get authority to invite you. There's no MISC activity, but at least you can use the 500 space bank.

If anyone else has quit but still has access to their account it would be sweet if you could drop all your **** into the guild bank, or mail it to me. Measlies will be sent in exchange

Game is far from dead. Plenty of people in game, each update is an improvement. That being said, hell yeah there are still some bugs and some balancing that needs to happen but I'm still having fun with it. Dat der Nord Nightblade.

Died asap when the sh!t game couldn't pull off going invis when getting attacked while I was mounted.

Little likelihood of me ever playing again. Too bad, I love the whole TES universe, but bugs, lag, broken quests, combat input lag, and gold spammers pretty much put the last nail in the coffin for me. That and its just another generic MMO. Nothing unique about it.

I've also heard the game is pretty much 100x better then when it launched in April, and the mega servers have really helped the population.

The new justice system sounds pretty awesome since it's PvP lite in PvE zones.

It's doing much better than WildStar that's for sure.

ESO is great. However, I quit at v16 (highest level cap) because of the things the people running the game are doing. There are a bunch of flaws that are being introduced into the game that I just cannot personally deal with.

If you like the Elder Scrolls lore and like MMORPGs, you'd like it. They have made a ton of changes since beta. Enemies now scale to your level, which allows people of different levels to play together in all zones, without penalty or imbalance. All factions have access to all zones and content now as well. They also introduced probably the best housing system in any game, and the ability to craft hundreds of different furnishings. Armor crafting is way deeper and varied than Skyrim. Quest details are as good as if not better than Skyrim, graphics are better, spell interface is simple and easy to manage.

The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild DLCs are my favorite part of the game, I spend most of my time stealing / assassinating etc. You can raid if that's your bag, and the PvP system is very robust, a lot of folks PvP exclusively in the PvP zones. You have the ability to be in up to five player guilds, and each guild gets a store to sell your goods in. They also got rid of the Veterans levels, and replaced it with a Champions Points system that allows you to level past 50. Champions Points are currently capped at 720, so it's technically like being able to level from 1 to 770, except there's not a ton of disparity between lower levels and max level players. But it also means you won't blow through the game in a couple weeks like some other games. They have added a lot of new content, and it would take a long time to see and do everything.

If you're into the lore of ES and enjoy RPG, this MMO definitely for you. I really liked the game. Graphics were amazing, classes were cool, combat was awesome. However, I highly disliked the trading/market system (having to be part of a guild to sell stuff) and I despise weapon-based skills. ESO and GW2 would have been great games if they didn't do weapon-based skills. If they stuck to the classics MMORPG classes with branching off classes, they would be perfect games for me. Just my two cents. Every now and then I'll come and play this game for a bit, but I eventually stop because of that reason.

have they fixed the quest system? when played I tried to complete all the quests for an area before moving on. is there a system now that tells you available quests in the area?

Looks like I gotta save some money and get a ps4... I loved playing oblivion and skyrim, the whole concept of the game free exploring and choosing your own path and destiny..etc. I probably collected like every book I found in the game and had them stashed in my house it looked like a tornado went through a library lol.
But I often felt lonely in the game and wished I could play with other people around the world..

On elder scrolls online can you still buy your own houses and stuff and invite people to come chill and check out your crib..etc?
