Let's discuss "jorts" for a moment. As all SnP'ers know, I have extolled the virtues of properly fitted denim shorts for quite a while. Denim, as everyone knows, is quite rugged - perfect for summer activities. And as everyone is also aware, it's practically impossible to stump denim. T-shirts, polos, ss button downs, o.c.b.d.'s with rolled up sleeves... you can't stop it. Throw any color or pattern at it, and it will keep right on going. About the only thing that won't work is a denim shirt. Although, I'm sure there's someone out there that can pull it off, just not me. The problem with denim shorts, is that most of the people hating on them were born sometime in the 90's, when clothing went through a dark ages similar to the 70's. The influence of crap hop, combined with a nostalgia for mud, all but destroyed fashion. Baggy pleated trousers ("all pleats are bad"), baggy oversize capris ("all denim shorts are bad"), neon colors and pukey pastels ("SnP is ghey"), etc. What's old is always new, and just like my fondness for floral print shirts, whether long sleeve or polo, denim shorts will eventually come back. Hopefully, it will be properly fitted and properly matched, and not another stupid fad like sagging, hipster/redneck cut-offs, or dudes in Daisey Dukes.Originally Posted by JohnJohnJohn62

anybody know if jcrew polos shrink in the dryer?
they fit really well but they're a bit too long right now, I'm thinking of putting them in the dryer to shrink instead of air drying.
once they shrink enough I'll air dry the next time.
was also thinking of doing permanent press instead so they don't shrink too much.
