i always rage at how females lives are valued above mens...
always see stuff in movies and in real life where ... for example , theres a burning building and ppl will be like "there are woman and children in there!!" and?... what about the men?..

no point in raging; its a part of human evolution.
Personally, i wont be running into a burning building to save women or children i dont know anytime soon (only reason i dont mention men is because they are expected to sacrifice themselves anyway even if they arent firefighers).“No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training…what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”

It isn't "morally wrong", but you cannot tell me right now you admire that guy who left his wife, daughter, and 4 month old in a room with smoke (God knows if it's poison), bullets flying, and people trampling each other.
If you love yourself more then anyone else, there is something wrong with you.
You would die for your mom? Why bother, she's probably gonna cheat on your dad anyway right?
Maybe one day, you will understand the bond a couple has when you find a girl you want to commit to.
If you have not experienced true love, you wouldn't understand. I'm not talking fairy tale shti either. you will meet multiple women you will love most likely.
It is also very different to protect someone, and lose your life in the process, then to literally sacrifice your life for theirs (which is almost never the case) Almost noone goes into something KNOWING they will die in order to save someone. They go in with the intention of getting them both out as unharmed as possible.

You don't know there gf were sloots or anything. If your girl is a doctor or something and you work at the grocery store jump in front of her in shooting. They will replace you at the store in no time, but good doctors are hard to find.

Of course this isn't WKing
But the misc should realize that they are responsible for threads like these
You guys go way overboard with "all girls are sloots" mentalities and all the beta/alpha crap people post on here.
Then you all get irate when threads like these are posted.
It's like raising a kid around guns and violence and getting mad at him when he gets into crime and drugs
This place does have a lot of negativity, and it spreads to people. Idiot mindsets spread around here so it's not healthy to stay on the misc for long periods

i do not admire any of these men; i simple meant that they COULD be admired. Just like on the misc some people would admire the man who abandoned his family to save himself.
And i do not believe in the concept of love outside of blood relations. (how does one love themselves? thats called valuing your own life).
Ive had my first 'love' and ive fallen in love with a girl before. And ive come out of it knowing that FOR ME love is bull ****.
You can have your 'true love' and ill keep my 'realism'.
We'll just have to agree to disagree because we follow different fundamentals.“No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training…what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”

It's genetics, not white knighting as has been pointed out.
Protective instincts take over unless you are a coward (in theory wouldn't reproduce in days where survival was a luxury whereas it is common place now, no one would want to reproduce with someone who pisses himself in high pressure/life threatening situations). Men in general also have a better understanding that our lives are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.Last edited by wickedman; 02-11-2014 at 12:21 PM.

protective instincts for the kids, sure. but going and risking your life for "your wife" seems to be pure media conditioning. if we or society never put the pussy on the pedestal and white knighted, this probably wouldnt be such an immediate reaction

Probably
But, This is whats ****ed up...
People react differently
If you went with a friend or girlfriend, they grabbed you and used as a human shield...
Could you be friends with them, could you ever forgive them?
When crazy **** goes down, we react differently... Adrenaline is pumping and we don't think but we're determined by our survival instinct.Make America Great Again Crew

How long after all this went down did it take for the girlfriend to call up Tyrone and Jamal?
I respect the man for giving up his life to save his girlfriend, I won't take that away from him. But let's be real, once the initial shock wears off, people move on really quickly. She's back at work, going out with girlfriends, meeting new men at bars, etc etc.

I understand that, but not everyone is like that dude. My buddy Justin passed away in a car accident over 2 years ago while driving to work and his girlfriend still from my understanding, hasn't dated. She's jsut in school and is with her friends a lot and I hope shes happy. It was so heartbreaking- we think he was going to propose to her really soon then passed away. He was looking at rings and such, I remember how devestated she was at the wake; I mean.. She had to be on soem pills or something bc she was just a friggin wreck holding a teddy bear he got her. Broke my heart.
Not everyone is out partying after this, some have scars that won't heal. My Dad's best friend in college died in a motorcycle accident, to this day when he sees his buddies old GF from then, she still talks about the guy as if they are 19 and still says he was the love of her life.. Not everyone gets over stuff man.

i think its wrong to put a stamp on anybody who acted the way he did in the situation.
if someone thinks its heroic to save another life and wants to do it, then let him do it, however you cant really blame anyone who's survival insticts gripped him and he just starts running. Nobody can imagine being in such a situation, and sitting infront of our computers saying i would have done this and that is just laughable.
Publicly shaming guys who did either, is even worse than respecting their decision based on whatever it was.
