Someone explain the bible
"There is no question that belts assist in generating a few more Newton-meters (or foot-pounds) of torque in the torso through elastic recoil of a bent orso that is stiffened with a belt. However, if a neutral spine is preserved throughout the lift this effect is minimal. In other words, to obtain the maximal effect from a belt, the lifter must lift poorly and in a way that exposed the back to a much higher risk of injury!”

Some guy came to our campus and started talking chit about gay people. A bunch of people came and defended the LGBT. I was thinking the whole time that this one guy has balls for coming to a state uni and preaching that bs. Religion is about having faith and creating a community, not literally believing and following the bible. It's 2014 ffs.

I guess I'll ask questions as they come to me
Why do people think "telling your sins" Clense your soul? Aware me how that works.
My issue you with the bible is that your good because you feel there's a reward be good to be good."There is no question that belts assist in generating a few more Newton-meters (or foot-pounds) of torque in the torso through elastic recoil of a bent orso that is stiffened with a belt. telling sins to who? if u mean other people it doesnt say that in the bible thats a catholic thing.
i read the bible as if i was stuck on an island and read it for what it is not what other people tell me.
We dont do good because of a reward or fear. We do good because thats what we were originally supposed to be before sin entered the world from adam and eve disobeying God.
God then sent Jesus to die for our sins that we as a human race did from adam and eve and he died on the cross so when we die we can go to heaven and live how we were originally supposed to free of sin.Last edited by Azza84; 02-10-2014 at 03:50 PM.

Well this has to do with economics, but people respond to incentives. If you are a rational thinker, you tend to do what gives you a reward or an advantage. If being faithful and truthful makes someone feel rewarded and cleansed, then good for them. Like I sad, its all about having faith and being strong. Don't let evil take you down.

They were mushrooms. The bible was translated multiple times look up the seascrolls bible that describes it.
However the idea of a "god" is ridiculous. God is nothing more than the concept of "fate" which is nothin more than conglomeration of choices.
@tb explain why god>"devil""There is no question that belts assist in generating a few more Newton-meters (or foot-pounds) of torque in the torso through elastic recoil of a bent orso that is stiffened with a belt. Satan is a fallen angel. God created the angels. Although he is very powerful, Satan is ultimately a finite creature who is by no means a match for an infinite God.
I'm heading out btw, so if you have any further questions I'd actually recommend visiting the Religion and Politics section on this site, there are some knowledgeable posters down there.~Jesus Christ Is My Savior Crew~

You know, I've seen a few of your posts and IIRC they have generally been fairly intelligent/well-informed... So I'll bite (assuming you're a theist of some sort)...
When I am evaluating a situation I first look at the empirical, objective, factual evidence... I think it's safe to say that this is certainly lacking when it comes to "god."
Provided there is no undeniable evidence, I use background knowledge and common sense to come up with a conclusion. Now I highly doubt you would consider a book as significant background knowledge, and I'm sure your common sense doesn't tell you there is an almighty being that created you....
I guess my question is this- how does an otherwise intelligent/logical person come to the conclusion that god is real and he made humans and etc etc etc?Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=159714881&p=1213186101

Gonna Pull from this, what if gods bad and satans good. I don't see the devil slandering god. I'm also prett sure devil gave us freedom of choice.
When god does something bad it's "god works in mysterious ways" so I guess Ill go to your house make sure you walk in on me and your mom porkin. I will simply claim I work in mysterious ways. See the illogical arguements thrown at us non biblical people ."There is no question that belts assist in generating a few more Newton-meters (or foot-pounds) of torque in the torso through elastic recoil of a bent orso that is stiffened with a belt.
